Hotel de France sur Bessines-Sur-Gartempe

Excellent value for money. The restaurant's food is very good, the Limousin beef is superb, as are the vegetables! The only downside was the somewhat cold welcome... What a shame!

A very cute little hotel with very friendly staff :). The rooms are well-appointed and look like they've been recently renovated. Great location, close to the highway but very quiet. No complaints, hoping to return and try the restaurant :)

This restaurant is well worth a visit, just 3 minutes from the A20 motorway. This charming village truly lives up to its name. The meal was excellent, featuring fresh, well-prepared ingredients. The welcome was warm, and the place is frequented by a large number of regulars who have no reason to go anywhere else. I had lunch there for €16.90, including the daily special (see photo), dessert, and coffee. The tablecloth and napkins were cloth-covered, the service was very quick, and the atmosphere was friendly. Definitely worth the detour!

Excellent food Professional service A lovely place

An exceptional find - food was exemplary at all meals taken. A fabulous waiter helped out with the language when we got stuck! Our room was larger than usual and everything was spotless - plentiful towels, toiletries etc - some chains could do with taking a leaf out of their book on how to treat guests! Nice village and surrounding area.

On the way to our lunch vacation, a very good salad of gizzards and duck breast with foie gras.

Good food. Very welcoming. Fast and friendly service. Quality and quantity are both excellent. Good value for money. I recommend it.

Very pleasant, functional, and well-equipped apartment. Very comfortable bedding. Quiet apartment despite the proximity of the highway. Swimming pool and small gym available. Friendly staff despite our very late arrival. Friendly breakfast buffet.

Clean and pleasant hotel. Attentive and very pleasant staff. We had a very pleasant stay. The food is also very good. We highly recommend it to everyone; you won't be disappointed.
