Maison Faurie sur Bessines-Sur-Gartempe

A great spot on the holiday route with plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch, or drinks. There are tables inside to sit at, clean restrooms, and it's located in the village square, so parking is easy. I recommend it.

We had coffee and a homemade hamburger. Very good. It's a shame we had to go back for more sugar and a napkin. The cakes were superb but expensive.

Interesting experience at this bakery, recommended for its macarons! The pastries and breads are very good. The macarons are indeed good. However, there's a rather peculiar pricing structure to note... See the photo. 1 macaron €1.20 / 8 macarons €11.70 / 16 macarons €21.30... I'll let you do the math, but the more you buy, the more expensive they are per macaron 😅 First time I've seen that. Well, they are indeed good...
