A gem in a refined/sumptuous setting!
The telephone reservation process was exceptionally kind and courteous.
The service was impeccable, led by the wonderful head waitress.
The cuisine is outstanding! We ordered a children's menu, a salad, a cassoulet, and a truffle menu—a truly immersive experience. The balance of flavors is masterful; even my 18-month-old discovered refined dishes, and I am sincerely grateful!
The icing on the cake is that the chef is present in the dining room, passionately sharing his work with all the guests, which we greatly appreciated. We are used to seeing chefs dedicated to their craft, so thank you very much, Chef!
The atmosphere in the dining room is very friendly, almost convivial, even though the clientele is particularly cosmopolitan. But it doesn't matter; the atmosphere is so pleasant that language is no barrier!

Lunch at the Hôtel Dieu in Sarlat.
A very pretty setting, with a lovely terrace in the inner courtyard of this former 17th-century hospice. The place is charming and full of character.
The service is warm, friendly, and attentive. The cuisine is homemade, refined, and prepared with good, fresh ingredients. The portions are generous and of excellent quality.
An address we wholeheartedly recommend in Sarlat.
PS: We were at the restaurant when an incident occurred: Céline's husband behaved very aggressively, which made several other customers uncomfortable. This somewhat marred the atmosphere of our meal. Our best wishes to the entire team, who were in no way responsible.

Excellent experience at the Hôtel Dieu restaurant in Sarlat during the Easter holidays!
The staff is welcoming, warm, and discreet, with a real ability to adapt, even to toddlers. Despite the lack of a children's menu, a homemade pizza was offered, prepared fresh with quality ingredients—a very thoughtful touch.
We chose the truffle menu, and it was a real success: excellent value for money, with fresh, local, and homemade products. The truffle is truly showcased, prominently featured in the dishes, and not just as an aroma or a superficial touch.

Excellent meal from start to finish. A truly Périgord experience for me. Homemade foie gras. Half a duck breast glazed with honey. Profiteroles with cream. My husband had the ravioli. The filet mignon and crème caramel. Everything is homemade. Top-notch service (thank you, Caroline, for your smile and good humor). Although I was the only one serving and the restaurant was three-quarters full, the service was impeccable. This isn't our first time at this restaurant, and certainly not our last.
