La Petite Borie sur Sarlat-La-Caneda

We found this by chance as I was inspecting the menu when the chef himself told me the restaurant was excellent. My wife and I ate here for our 50th wedding anniversary. It didn't disappoint. Food was very tasty, well presented and served in a timely fashion. We were not pressed or pressured to go faster. All in all an excellent experience.

A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is right in the heart of Sarlat. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and you won't leave hungry. Thank you to the owners and staff, who are very welcoming and friendly. Don't miss it; you won't be disappointed, unlike the usual tourist traps. I highly recommend it.

A reliable choice in Sarlat, where restaurants are very (too) numerous. Local cuisine made with quality products, a warm welcome, and good value for money – we highly recommend it.

Disappointed... we booked based on the photos and previous reviews... and it was nothing like what we saw... what we got on our plates didn't really match the photos... our duck confit with Salardaise potatoes was quite good, but the children's meal, minced meat and fries, looked like something from a discount supermarket... Everything must have come straight from the freezer... and the dessert... clearly a shortage of Chantilly cream... a simple Périgord-style sundae with a scoop of artificial vanilla ice cream drowned in liqueur, a couple of walnut pieces on top, and rolled up... Walnut cake with caramel and industrial-grade custard... And not to mention the strange atmosphere in the restaurant where the staff seemed to spend more time at the bar than with the customers... I don't know what was going on last night, but it wasn't up to par for 100 euros...

A group of Bretons on holiday in Sarlat. We were out for a stroll on market day. A cheesemonger named Robert recommended this restaurant. We weren't disappointed at all; the dishes were typical of the region. We received a warm welcome and had a wonderful meal.

This is our second visit, and we always have a wonderful time. The food is delicious, and the menu is reasonably priced. We highly recommend it!
