Hotel Restaurant Campanile sur Avignon

04/09/2024: The cloister in historical terms is fabulous but the rest is not up to the standard of a 4 star. The buffet breakfast is more geared towards foreign tourists (English) whereas we should enhance French cuisine and the restaurant is good for the price but the dishes are simple, on the other hand the setting is majestic. The rooms are Spartan, the lighting in the bathroom and the model of the hairdryer are a bit pitiful as are the air conditioning settings which are manual. The luggage racks with squeaky wheels, you can hear people passing in the corridor, it's poorly soundproofed. In short, I have seen 3-star hotels that are much better equipped. The hotel parking lot was full, the welcome lacked smiles and enthusiasm. I recommend it for the setting and its location in the city center, that's all.

03/09/2024: A lot is missing for it to be a 4* Air conditioning running and making unbearable noise. Photos taken = the swimming pool is a small corridor on the terrace where there is no parasol or place to shelter. I will skip the several details that a 4* should have and which are missing from the cloister of St Louis Really a shame for this establishment which is a pretty cloister very well located in the town of Avignon.
