Huitre Papillon sur Gujan-Mestras

We are from Gujan-Mestras. Bad experience today. The oysters were good, as always. But we were poorly received and rushed. Yet we ate in 30 minutes! 1) We arrived at 12:30 pm and were assigned a supposedly last table in the shade. Okay, we accepted because we hadn't booked for two. But 5 minutes later, a couple arrived... they were given a table from the restaurant on the sunny terrace. Okay, okay... 2) We started eating... I still had oysters on my plate... and then they took my tray away. 3) My husband went inside to pay the bill, and they offered our seat to other people while I was still seated, waiting for my husband to return so he could get his glasses, car keys, and bag from under the table. I had to quickly clean everything up because people were sitting down at our table. I know they need to make the most of the terrace, but today I felt like I was in the way. I repeat, 30 minutes for 50 euros, that's reasonable, isn't it?

A must-visit spot on the bay for delicious oysters, a friendly team, and a family-run business just the way we like it on the bay ☀️ I highly recommend it. 🌊🪼

An excellent place to enjoy oysters, prawns or whelks at reasonable prices. Pleasant welcome and service, and a terrace overlooking the port.
