Superb hostel in a truly magnificent setting. A magnificent meal, special mention to the chef for his homemade fries which are rare these days. Starter: top seafood risotto followed by a shoulder of veal confit with forest sauce and small vegetables, spaetzeles and homemade fries more than perfect😊. A chef who lives up to our expectations and puts all his heart into it to delight us. Above all, don't change anything 😊 And big thank you to the room staff Waitress very attentive to very good advice. A team that rolls. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

An excellent daily menu, starter, main course, dessert for €16

Who could have believed that in this green Vosges setting, at the foot of the Château du Spesbourg, would hide a temple of gastronomy!! We were amazed by the excellence and refinement of the dishes. Tapas grilled just right as a starter, hot and crispy to perfection. Then a bite to eat with seafood in a creamy sauce, all accompanied by a chilled Riesling! Bread, you tell me? a pure marvel! the soft crumb of a country bread, wrapped in its golden crust, and barely crispy..... And despite my insistence, the secret of its origin was not revealed to me :-( barely -I was able to learn that it was "delivered specially by an old gentleman". Here, secrets are well kept! As for my companion, she enjoyed a baeckehoffe, which her bird's appetite did not like allowed us to finish. But the nice waitress offered to pack it for us (our shyness would have prevented us from asking her!) This will give us a 2nd taste bud festival this week! Satisfied, however, we saw pass before our eyes a apple pie, topped with streussel, and topped with a scoop of ice cream... a real torture, for us who are on a diet! But I promise, we will come back! and this time, it will be after a 2-day fast, for being able to enjoy all these benefits! A big congratulations to the Chef, whom we didn't have the chance to meet! So, we tell him: above all, don’t change anything!
