Located on a lovely square dominated by a magnificent church, the restaurant offers a setting that is both peaceful and elegant. The welcome is impeccable: warm, sincere, and impeccably professional. The service is quick, attentive, and always accompanied by a smile. Then comes the long-awaited moment: the pizza. And there, it's a true revelation. The dough, the restaurant's signature, intrigues with its deep gray hue. This distinctive color is achieved through a subtle blend of toasted mustard, wheat, and sesame seeds, which, once roasted, develop unique aromas before being incorporated into the dough. The result is remarkable: a light, crispy, delicately flavored crust that is exceptionally digestible. As for the toppings, they are simply outstanding. Every ingredient seems to have been selected with meticulous care. The products are of remarkable quality, fresh, generous, and perfectly presented. Each bite reveals a subtle balance between authenticity and creativity. Il Duomo doesn't just offer pizzas: it elevates a great classic of Italian cuisine with passion, expertise, and a genuine pursuit of excellence. A rare find where quality isn't just a promise, but a given. A must-try restaurant that I wholeheartedly recommend.

We had a delicious meal here tonight. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Something went wrong with my dish for a brief moment, but it was resolved immediately and without any discussion. They were very helpful right away, and I was given a pasta vongole as an alternative, which was surprisingly richly filled with many clams. That only made it better in the end. A lovely restaurant, good food, and a team that shows that service is truly important to them. Highly recommended if you are in Chalon-sur-Saône!

We arrived without a reservation on a World Cup broadcast evening... and were welcomed by Alex, a tall, energetic waiter, a good salesman who encouraged us to order more. In short, we were satisfied, the pizza dough was good, but the lasagna was served in a small portion. The service was quick, but the desserts weren't exceptional. They refused to offer us a digestif. We had to make do... The restaurant is adequate... but not for Italian cuisine.

We had a wonderful time at Il Duomo restaurant. Special mention goes to their black-crust pizza: truly original, visually stunning, and absolutely delicious! The rest of the meal was just as delightful, and the service was impeccable, warm, and attentive. We will gladly return on our next visit to Chalon-sur-Saône.

We came as a group. We ate on the terrace. We arrived during a heatwave and ordered a salad, which was good but rather small (the container might suggest otherwise), and a bit pricey considering the quality of the food. We had to ask for the bread several times (it arrived dried out due to the heat and because it had been pre-sliced). The experience was far from a disaster, but nothing extraordinary either. If I get the chance, we'll come back for a pizza, to get a more complete picture of the restaurant's quality, which one of the people in our group had recommended.
