It was my first time at this restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised by the taste and flavors of the food, which were excellent. It was incredibly filling; I ended up ordering a main course plus two appetizers, and even with just the two appetizers, I was already stuffed. The welcome was very warm (they showed me how to use chopsticks properly). I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Japanese culture or wants to discover it. 😋

We've ordered takeout several times and it's always excellent. I think the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. Compared to Eat Sushis next door, Jimida's fish is much better, their coleslaw too, everything really. In short, if you want to eat Japanese food in the center of Brest, this is the place (the atmosphere is very calm but relaxing) 🍙🍣

Discovering Jimida was a revelation; the quality was definitely there, it was delicious. The service was excellent, and the staff very friendly. I highly recommend it!

A great restaurant that I'll definitely return to if I'm ever back in Brest :) Special mention for the salmon sashimi, which was fresh and melt-in-your-mouth tender 👌

10/10/2025: So no, fine dining shouldn't cost that much. There are incredible restaurants, far better, for €100 per person (the price of the Hinoki menu a few years ago, by the way). I don't know why prices here have gone up so much, but the food, while excellent, doesn't justify it at all. €165 now seems like a rip-off.
30/08/2025: A meal as relaxing as it was soothing, as surprising as it may seem. Excellent cuisine, and a chef who shared his knowledge of Japanese culture with us. In short, a perfect evening, go there with your eyes closed! We sincerely hope to be able to return.
