Kaffee Berlin sur Lyon

Well... It's hard to be objective, given my passion for all things German. As soon as there's a German place in France, I'm there in a flash. The staff (waiters and baristas) are incredibly attentive; it's lovely to receive such genuine hospitality. The drinks menu is extensive (classic cocktails, German-style cocktails, and plenty of German beers). The food menu is varied: German snacks (sausages, charcuterie boards) and the current trends: bagels and burgers. I was a little disappointed with the desserts; nothing particularly authentic except for the apple strudel. The music is soft electronic, at a decent volume. The decor is in the Berlin style, with items from there; spread over two floors, beautifully done, with framed pictures and pieces of German culture on the walls. And some clever creative touches (check out the pendant lights above the bar ;) Price: reasonable (expect to pay around €13 for a bagel and a drink). Clientele: mixed, mostly in their thirties

Great bar! This place is really nice. Its cool and original decor gives it a real identity. The food is top-notch! 👍🏻 ➡️Burgers and generous salads are delicious, not to mention the homemade schnitzel 🤤 and other options... A wide selection of quality draft beers for all tastes. It's a chance to discover German beers, which are rarely available in France. I haven't tried the bottled ones yet; I'm not about to finish the menu anytime soon! 😵‍💫 😅 Finally, I mustn't forget the staff, who are very friendly, professional, and efficient. Thank you to them! Believe me, it's REALLY appreciated! 😉 In short, always great times spent relaxing with friends! 🍻 😁

We were very regular customers of Kaffe Berlin and came very often, at least three times a week. With the previous manager, everything was great: the welcome was warm, the service pleasant, and we enjoyed coming back. Since the arrival of the new manager some time ago, the situation has unfortunately deteriorated. Despite our loyalty, we are poorly received, barely greeted, and sometimes have to wait 15 minutes just to get a menu. It's very disappointing and frankly shameful for such regular customers. We tried to persevere, hoping for improvement, but to no avail. It's a real shame, because we loved this place. From now on, we'll go to the establishment located 5 meters away, where the service is much more pleasant.

A great place! A great team. We had a fantastic evening. The manager did everything to make sure we had a great time!
