Kintaro Lamen sur Paris

A pretty authentic Japanese culinary experience! Ramen, udon, donuts—the variety is quite interesting. From what I've seen, the quality and flavors have declined somewhat over time, the price has increased, and the portions haven't kept pace... Unfortunately. My last visit was two years ago, so things have probably changed a bit since then.

Very good, a place worth discovering.

Second time dining at Kintaro, and it remains a great budget-friendly pick with lightning-fast service! I came for rice bowls last time, and this round we tried their udon. It’s decent, but not the best bowl you can get in Paris. The real benchmark is Sanukiya — too bad it’s fully closed for August. Folks say the top noodle spots simply don’t care about summer revenue! Kintaro’s big plus? It stays open nearly all year. The main letdown: the udon isn’t freshly hand-kneaded, and the broth is far too salty. Authentic quality udon should have house-made noodles, with a balanced broth that doesn’t leave you chugging water nonstop. We ordered beef udon, tempura udon alongside fried chicken, and both noodle soups were over-salted. Still, portions are fair and the price hovers around €15–16 a bowl. Solid 4 stars for value, perfect backup when the legendary noodle shops are on summer break.

I am a traveller from Japan and I was missing Japanese taste for a long time. This is why I chose this Japanese restaurant. So, this is a creditable review by Japanese who usually eat Japanese food everyday. When I stepped into the restaurant, a waiter with buzz cut said to me"Irassyaimase" , which means wellcome in Japanese. I was happy to hear Japanese word. Then, I got a counter seat and ordered Yakiniku set for my dinner. When my set was delivered, I realized it was a real Japanese food. Of course the taste was absolutely amazing and well-prepared. It was just as good as what you can eat in Japan. What caught my eye was the *karaage* (Japanese-style fried chicken) being served to other customers. It looked delicious. I would recommend ordering the *karaage* as well. It is when the dinner is karaage or yakiniku that Japanese become happiest.

Very good local dishes. Excellent bibimbap (see photo). Low price, nothing to complain about.

Great place, excellent value for money! I love tonkatsu, so I came here specifically for that dish and I wasn't disappointed – it was delicious! The flavors were fantastic, and the seasoning was perfect. The place is also very nice, and the service was great too ☺️

Delicious stir-fried beef. Karaage chicken was okay.
