A Strasbourg institution. No frills here, it's simple, cool, and authentic. The value for money is simply unbeatable. Ordering a "kitsch plate" evokes that somewhat lost feeling these days of getting good food at a low price.

We accidentally found this place and absolutely loved it. The tartine and salad and also kitsch were all amazing! Super friendly staff - we came with tons of luggage and they were still okay with it :) thanks a lot you made our last night in Strasbourg truly amazing!

What The Fox

05/12/2025: This was a real find - having had a poor experience at the Dubliners pub round the corner, I was delighted to receive a proper welcome from friendly staff at What The Fox. I met some friends here and we had a great time - so much so that I returned the following night. It was very different, being full to bursting on a football night - however the cheerful staff ensured that everyone had a good time and a plentiful supply of beer!

24/02/2026: A truly Alsatian setting. A beautiful location with a varied and very affordable menu. The dishes are generous and a delight for the taste buds. The service is impeccable.
