A 3-star hotel that only deserves 2. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed, there was mold in the bathroom, and neither the room nor the cleaning service was provided (we stayed for two nights). The breakfast "buffet" is rather meager for the price. The staff, however, are very helpful and pleasant.

On a business trip, I stayed at a Kyriad hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was functional and renovated, with a comfortable bed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and that wasn't forced. The restaurant was very good: dishes prepared by the Hille caterer next door. So I recommend it for business trips: excellent value for money, cleanliness, and a warm welcome. Top-notch!

I had to wait for the neighboring garage to open, so I went to the hotel next door to get a coffee. I received a warm welcome. Thank you, Kyriad Carcassonne.

Boulangerie du Pont Rouge

07/06/2026: The waitresses are barely friendly, and I'm dismayed that they serve the cakes with their bare hands, without gloves, while handling the money, which is a source of germs! Aside from that, the pastries are very good.
29/05/2026: The pastries are excellent. However, the wholemeal bread doesn't keep for long; it goes stale quickly, which is a shame.

Le Trouvere

02/07/2026: Great find! Friendly staff. Excellent value for money.
29/06/2026: Even at breakfast, this is the most popular spot on this central square under shady plane trees. Don't expect a grande couture restaurant; it's a brasserie, but quite decent, and the service is pleasant. I wasn't disappointed at lunchtime. The regional menu featured delicious gizzards (also known as gesier) on salad, and a slice of beef diaphragm—not very well-known, but worth trying. And in France, almost never order your meat medium or well-done; rare is best and reflects the quality of the meat.
