A truly exceptional welcome We had lunch at this restaurant today, without having checked the reviews beforehand, and we received an extremely warm welcome. As soon as we arrived, the waitress (who might even be the owner?) immediately tried to seat us at the most suitable table, knowing that we were with our 2-year-old daughter and our dog. She spontaneously offered us a large coloring book and crayons for our daughter, and then a bowl and water for our dog. These little touches really make a difference! The service was then quick, efficient, and friendly, with genuine kindness throughout the meal. Our orders were taken promptly, the dishes were served without delay, and everything we needed was brought to us naturally. We even had a chance to chat with the waitress in a truly pleasant atmosphere. As for the food, it's certainly not haute cuisine: it's simple, typical local fare, but it was good and well-presented. The €14.90 set menu, including a starter, main course, and dessert, seemed to us to be excellent value for money. The other prices might be a little higher, but you also have to consider the location, right in the heart of the Cité de Carcassonne. We were actually quite surprised to see some of the reviews and comments online when we left, because our experience over the August 15th weekend was completely different. We truly felt welcomed and valued, despite the very touristy atmosphere and the busy period. A big thank you for the warm welcome and the thoughtful touches. We will especially cherish the memory of a restaurant where we felt so welcome, with our child and our dog. 😊

We ate on the terrace. We ordered three set menus, each with a choice of dishes from those offered. The food was excellent, we ate at a leisurely pace, and the staff didn't pressure us to move quickly to the next course. We could take our time to enjoy the experience and savor the food. We really enjoyed it, and we hadn't booked in advance.

Lunch for three on a Saturday... mainly attracted by the lovely terrace. The welcome was fine, order taken without any problems... starter: a charcuterie and cheese board to share, very good value for money... arrival of the main courses... only 2 out of 3 were served, judging by what we heard... a mistake in taking the order... OK, it happens... the main course was perfect (salmon steak)... but the wine... we had to ask for it... it was barely warm... no ice offered... then the dessert... nothing homemade... profiterole lovers, look elsewhere 😪. The terrace is pleasant, however, rarely cleaned, and what a shame they didn't invest in misting systems... overall, very average 😔

A pleasant restaurant with a lovely, cozy rooftop terrace. Slightly off the beaten path, it's a more peaceful spot than the restaurants on the city's main squares. Set menu with starter, main course, and dessert for €15.90. Quick and friendly service.
