We went as a family to lunch at Le Petit Puit during our visit to the medieval city of Carcassonne. I was surprised to see such poor reviews for this restaurant, as our experience was quite different.
The welcome was very warm, and we chose the set menu for €15.90. Frankly, at that price, in a touristy area like this, I don't see what more people could expect. For us, it was perfectly adequate.
The starter (salad with terrine or goat cheese) was nicely presented, the chicken in cream sauce with fries was simple but good, and the floating island dessert was a pleasant way to end the meal. Unpretentious, home-style cooking, but satisfying for the price.

Pleasant atmosphere outside under the parasols. Friendly, attentive service.
The food? We only had drinks. That wasn't a problem. But the other diners also seemed satisfied.

I had a wonderful lunch here! I ordered the deal of the starter , main and dessert for €18.50 , and it was lovely. The cassoulet for main was very delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed this! The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. It catered to everything i wanted ! I reccommend😊
