La Baguernette ISNOR sur Clairmarais

As someone from Vendée, I discovered during my stay the Estaminet la Baguernette restaurant, a very nice discovery, a decoration that lived up to my expectations, a succulent Welsh rarebit, a very good time spent with my dear sister.

I'm sorry to give a negative review, especially since I've known this place for many years. I have no complaints about the food. My only complaint is the wait, but I don't want to blame the waiter who was constantly rushing around. Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat dessert or coffee. It took far too long. And what also bothered me, after observing the other diners, was a family who arrived with a barking dog in the dining room. I discreetly asked the other customers about it, and I wasn't the only one bothered by the dog, which was spoiling our pleasant family meal. I don't think Mr. Leleu would have appreciated it either. Yet, as I said, this place is a part of my childhood. I even celebrated a wonderful occasion here for my husband's medal, who has since passed away. I hope to get some feedback because I don't understand.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! The welcome was so warm, a huge thank you to Steven for his attention to detail on our birthday and for his kindness 😊 We absolutely don't regret driving an hour to come and enjoy the suckling pig again – it was a real treat! A perfect evening, we highly recommend it!

A superb discovery! We had lunch as a family, having booked in advance as it was highly recommended. The atmosphere was friendly, and we received a warm welcome from a kind and dynamic team. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, from aperitifs with accompaniments, to the main course featuring a delicious suckling pig, and finally to dessert. There was also a large selection of drinks. The products were fresh, homemade, and above all, locally sourced. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team!
