La Baita sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

The Prieuré chalet hotel is an exceptional place. The rooms are very comfortable, the view incredible from the 7th floor. The breakfast is very generous and of good quality. The services at the spa are also excellent. All the staff were very pleasant during our stay.

Service Overall - Normal/As expected. Good point was that I received an earlier check in the first day and the hotel staff were pleasant but I didn't interact with them much. Bad point is that I extended my stay by one extra night and was forced to check out and check in again because I booked a room with a different view...this was a bad decision by the team from a customer service perspective and from an operational efficiency perspective. The room I was in was still available and unlikely to be booked, so the extra 30 euro would not be gained by the hotel and instead, the management team made the decision to complete the check out/in procedure two times (unnecessary, waste of productive time and cost), the cleaners had to deep clean two rooms instead of one (unnecessary waste of productive time and cost and less enviro friendly), the customer (me) was inconvenienced and treated as a new customer and not an existing customer that had already spent 4 nights there. Put simply, this was a lose-lose decision for the hotel and for the customer. **30 euros was the price difference between the room I was in and the room category I booked for the extra night. The actual difference was the view, one was mountain view the other was city view. After 4 night in the mountain view room, the selling point of a nicer view is no longer a selling point.** Food - Normal/as expected. Portions on the smaller size, could be slightly bigger for a more satisfying experience. The deserts were exceptional especially the creme brulee. Rooms - Normal/as expected. Design is nice. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Spa - Exceptional. Very nice, very clean. Pool Table - Customers needs to pay 1 or 2 euro per game. Not the best look for a 4 star hotel. Lounge Area - Standard/as expected. Nice and comfortable. Ski Locker - Standard/as expected. Ski Pass Kiosk - Exceptional. Having this here is very good. You can buy your pass before you leave for the slopes.

Great, quiet location just steps from town. Easy access to ski busses, and a short walk to tons of restaurants and cafes. Spa was nice, if always a little too crowded. Rooms were smaller than I thought based on photos, but well appointed. Our room was always a tad too warm despite adjusting the temp, and we slept with the door open.

Free private parking for this type of establishment seems fair to me

Beautiful hotel, freshly renewed rooms, friendly staff. The spa is amazing with everything needed. The location is great, in the centre of Chamonix, 10min walking distance from the slopes.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for a week ski vacation. We enjoyed the hotel very much! Everything was perfect! All facilities were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! The staff were very nice and friendly, especially Jorge! He is just wonderful. It was so enjoyable talking with him. The SPA was lovely, too. We had an incredible massage. We didn’t want it to finish. We definitely recommend this hotel. When we return to Chamonix, we will certainly stay here again. Merci beaucoup, Chalet Le Prieuré! 😄♥️

Great location near food and shopping, friendly Staff, comfortable rooms with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc and tea and a kettle in the room.

Per overall had a nice stay. Good location and fabulous view over the Mont Blanc chain. Things that could have been better: - Bathroom doesnt have a door that you can close properly and have your intimacy there, (it's a sliding door that serves both as closet door and bathroom door) - SPA quite small, more people allowed and only 7 chairs available. Where can 20 people sit and relax or have a tea if all 7 chairs are occupied with others towels? - breakfast was modest but good choices per overall
