La Baraque sur Val-D'Isere

Amazing food! We tried several dishes, all excellent and top-quality! The wines were equally as good! The staff was young, helpful, and fast. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a try!

Excellent welcome, first of all, in a charming and elegant restaurant. The menu is very varied; I was tempted by the perfectly cooked pork chop with fresh vegetables, followed by a homemade chocolate dessert. 100% satisfied, I highly recommend it.

Right in the heart of Val-d’Isère, this restaurant is well worth a visit for its generous menu and spectacular wine list. Let's start with the setting, which offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Here, you can come not only to eat but also to dance after dinner, as the restaurant regularly features DJ sets to keep the party going into the late evening. The dishes are delicious, perfectly cooked, and the portions are quite generous. Prices are in line with Val-d’Isère standards. The real difference is that the ingredients are selected with particular care. The beef, for example, comes from Metzger and is absolutely divine. Another extremely positive point is the service, which was both meticulous and attentive throughout the evening! Smiles and courtesy were ever-present. Finally, if you enjoy wines and spirits, you've also come to the right place. The wine list is impressive, showcasing a selection from every region of France. The bottles are chosen with meticulous care, and the restaurant also offers a carefully curated selection of wines by the glass. In short, a highly recommended spot in Val-d’Isère!

Opening of L'Iseran on June 12th, 2026. One of the only restaurants open, packed with people but very nice for a burger and draft fries dinner.

Great food, service leads a lot to be desired, you would nearly think the staff are being held against their own will they are that uninterested maybe a slight bit of humour or a smile wouldn’t go amiss
