I ate at La Base restaurant yesterday and it was delicious. I had the Cajun chicken skewer and I wanted to thank the chef so much because I thought it was perfectly seasoned. The potatoes, grated carrots, and chicken skewer went wonderfully with the peppercorn sauce. It was a real treat. The homemade chocolate fondant was also excellent, absolutely perfect in my opinion. The service was very welcoming, thank you very much. The setting is lovely because the terrace offers a beautiful view of the harbor.

We were walking around the area and randomly decided to eat at La Base. The menu was small which is always a good sign - food was very good, service also and the music as well.

A wonderful place for the eyes and the taste buds, where the dishes are exceptionally fresh and incredibly delicious. A very pleasant atmosphere and kind, friendly staff 🥰

We had a great time enjoying some fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails. However, avoid the desserts, especially the profiteroles, which weren't really profiteroles at all: stale choux pastry with no ice cream filling, just a tiny portion of tasteless chocolate ganache. All of this was drowned in chocolate sauce (thank goodness it was there!) and a little bit of whipped cream. We were very disappointed: €7 per plate for this is highway robbery.

29/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must-visit in Brest! Authentic and welcoming pub atmosphere. Pool table, darts, great beer selection. Everything you need for a great night out. The place is lively, the clientele friendly, the regulars welcoming. You feel right at home. My favorite neighborhood bar, I come back every time. 🍺
