La Belle Liegeoise sur Toulouse

As a huge fan of Liège waffles, I couldn't pass up this highly anticipated shop. I first tried a waffle with cinnamon batter, chocolate sticks, and chestnut cream, but I found the combination a bit too sweet, so I went back to try a more "traditional" waffle (classic batter and chocolate sticks). The verdict? The price is extremely high for waffles that are decent, but definitely not the best I've ever had. They weren't very caramelized and were a bit dry in the areas where there was only batter. It was fun to try because of the hype, but I won't be going back every weekend.

Carlos is very friendly and always smiling. I was served very quickly and the waffles were excellent. I recommend it.

The waffles were excellent, as always. However, I was very surprised by the attitude of one of your sales assistants towards another. He made inappropriate remarks out loud, such as, "You're not a good salesperson," or "Go clean the table, please," simply because he didn't want to do it himself. Despite this, the sales assistant remained friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. It's a real shame, as it tarnishes the establishment's image.

Oh my gosh, every time I walked down that street I smelled that incredibly sweet, delicious scent. I dreamed of trying those waffles. And YUM! So good, the Nutella for an extra €1 was a generous amount. It even came with a little wooden spoon, a small napkin, and a cardboard container so you could eat it right there on the street. In short, a bit pricey, but if you want a little indulgence and you're feeling a bit crazy at the time, you'll be willing to spend the €4.50 for the yummy waffle. Anyway! Great experience! Because usually I always see people queuing, and so there was nobody there, and I really enjoyed it.

Truly disappointing: the batter was slightly burnt on the outside, undercooked on the inside, and far too sweet. The waffle stuck to the cardboard, making it impossible to eat without getting it all over your fingers. For €6.50 and a twenty-minute wait (only one person to handle orders, the till, and the kitchen!), it wasn't worth it.

Since discovering La Belle Liégeoise, I can't eat waffles anywhere else. They're excellent! The staff is incredibly friendly. It's true that if you go on a Saturday at 5 pm, you might have to wait a bit, but honestly, they're worth it! Enjoy!
