La Belle Lurette sur Saint-Macaire

I was with a friend looking for a tea room, which was very difficult to find in Langon because the two that were closed down... We ended up at this restaurant, which kindly agreed to serve us tea even though they were finishing up. The welcome was very pleasant, and I will definitely come back for a meal.

A restaurant that deserves to be talked about. A delicious pork confit, homemade fries, even a vegetarian platter, all well prepared, well presented, well seasoned. Deserves its five stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. Bravo and thank you to the chef for knowing how to showcase fresh food. They regularly host live bands. Friendliness and relaxation guaranteed.

Surprisingly, the food is still delicious despite the changes in chefs, the deplorable atmosphere, and the poor management. Just ignore the poor service, the friendliness, and the wait time, and open your eyes only to the delicious food. Is it worth the trip? Yes, between 12 pm and 1:30 pm from Tuesday to Thursday is ideal.

We came on Tuesday, November 11th. We hadn't been before. We thoroughly enjoyed the confit pork loin with homemade fries. The homemade aioli was fantastic! 🤗 Very affordable considering the quality; we truly loved it. They also had an excellent local wine by the glass! I only have one thing to say: Thank you! 🙏

We've been coming to La Belle Lurette regularly for a year now. We're always made to feel very welcome, with dishes that change regularly and are always delicious. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality! The bar itself is very unique, with beautifully designed decor! It's a warm and welcoming place where it's pleasant to relax alone or with friends.

We hiked into town and were looking for a place to have a beer and some food. We happened upon La Belle Lurette and it was awesome! It has a wickedly funky vibe, an eclectic clientele, and friendly staff. We ordered a vegetarian platter, and it was probably the best veggie food I have had in France. There is a good selection of beer and wine. While we were there a group of locals showed up with instruments and started playing traditional Irish music, so if course we stayed and drank a bunch of beer. The entire experience was an unexpected delight.
