The service was very poorly organized. The waiters seemed a bit lost. The terrace needs to be divided into sections to improve the flow of service and thus the speed of table service! Otherwise, the meal was ordinary, like something you'd eat at home. It could be better. The dessert was decent. The chairs on the terrace were very uncomfortable because they were too wide.

On the port of Fécamp, at the foot of the fishing museum, there's La Boucane. Every morning from 8:00 to 11:00, coffee is €1. Before heading out for the day, relaxing on the port for a cheap coffee is a great idea. Then there's the restaurant. The setting is really lovely, a blend of modern and traditional. The welcome is warm and you're seated quickly; we were near a window overlooking the port. There's a dining room downstairs, another upstairs, and upstairs there's a very cool lounge area. There's also a playroom for children downstairs. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu is quite eclectic without being too extensive. We opted for the fisherman's platter as a starter. Whelks, shrimp, smoked salmon (excellent), homemade mayonnaise, and toasted bread. Then came cod in a creamy caper sauce, mussels and fries with cream and chorizo, and a magnificent and excellent seafood sauerkraut. Everything was truly delicious and generous. There was a great atmosphere among the waitstaff. An excellent evening.

It's okay for lunch, but the food is very average. The waitress on the terrace was very unpleasant, so we moved inside. Expect to pay €40 per person.

My partner and I came for dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent, and the waitress was very friendly. I highly recommend it. Many thanks to the chefs for the delicious food. Keep up the good work!

Nothing to say, a very beautiful place and quality cuisine. Excellent value for money. The Normandy burger was generously loaded with Camembert. The Ledrun tart was magnificent and very indulgent.

A lovely spot right in the middle of the harbor, friendly young waiters, and decent food. They often have live music by local bands playing cool tunes. I highly recommend it, especially for drinks on the terrace 👍

A magical aperitif in a beautiful spot near the port, with always friendly staff. We've always had a great time at La Boucane for the past 25 years! I highly recommend it.

19/07/2026: A Successful End-of-Trip Dinner A group of four of us visited L'Escalier restaurant at the end of our trip to Normandy. A great help was the waiter, who spoke fluent English, making ordering a breeze. The food was delicious and well-prepared. The kids got a large fish and chips with good fish. My husband ordered sea bass and was pleased with his choice. We also tried the Normandy-style mussels – he really enjoyed them. A nice gesture from the kitchen was serving three oysters instead of six, so I could sample them. They were fresh and delicious. The biggest hit of the evening, however, was the stingray – I had it for the first time in my life and was delighted! It was served with vegetables and jacket potatoes, and the generous amount of butter sauce on the plate made a brilliant combination. The stingray alone is worth visiting. The only downside was the fries – they were frozen, and with such good fish, homemade fries would have been a much better complement. Despite this minor detail, it was a very pleasant evening, and I'd happily return.

18/06/2026: A good restaurant for the price. Friendly welcome, quick service, homemade dishes (the fish soup, for example, was excellent). Desserts for 5 euros (which is worth noting considering the prices at other restaurants in the area...). I recommend it.
