It's a real pleasure to rediscover this setting, this cuisine and this welcome 20 years later... get off the beaten track and go for a visit to La Brouette.

We are regulars at this restaurant. It's a breath of fresh air surrounded by nature, with a spectacular view of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate. The menu, with its limited number of dishes, guarantees 100% homemade cuisine. The Danish dishes are delicious and prepared with care. The owner, welcoming, funny, and genuine, contributes to a warm and inviting experience. The value for money is also excellent. La Brouette is an ideal place for those seeking authenticity and human warmth—a true family restaurant, the likes of which are rare in the Alpes-Maritimes (06).

It's a shame the owner doesn't answer the phone or bother to call back after leaving a message to reserve a table six days later... I had fond memories of the place, hence my 3-star rating; otherwise, I would have given it a 1.

A truly wonderful experience! The setting is simply magnificent, with a breathtaking view of the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. I had the salmon as a starter, followed by the smoked trout with new potatoes as a main course: everything was delicious. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality and the food is homemade. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and always helpful, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant, both for the quality of the food and for the ambiance and service. We will definitely be back!

A truly special place. The restaurant is small, simple, and surrounded by nature, with just a few tables on a terrace overlooking the beautiful village of Saint-Paul de Vence. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, exactly the kind of place where you can slow down and enjoy the evening. The menu is short and inspired by Danish cuisine. At first it might sound unexpected, but it works surprisingly well. Every dish we had was delicious and carefully prepared. The owner was genuinely warm and welcoming. We even had a long wait for dessert because he had simply forgotten about it, but he came to apologize personally with such honesty and kindness that it didn’t take away from the experience at all. If anything, it reminded us that this is a real, family-run place where people care. The value for money is outstanding, especially for this area. A menu with appetizers, main course and dessert is €37, and the wine prices are equally reasonable. Just don’t come if you’re in a rush. This is a place to enjoy good conversation, good food, and a few hours away from the noise of everyday life. Restaurants like this are becoming rare. If you appreciate authentic places made with passion rather than trends, I think you’ll love it. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re on the French Riviera.

A truly wonderful discovery! We chose La Brouette to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday, and we couldn't have dreamed of anything better. The setting is magnificent, with a superb view of Saint-Paul, in an intimate, warm, and authentic atmosphere. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive without ever being intrusive. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his establishment and loves making his customers happy. As for the food, it was a real treat! Everything is homemade, with quality ingredients and dishes bursting with flavor. It's genuine cuisine, prepared with passion. Thank you for your warm welcome, your kindness, and for helping to make this birthday evening an unforgettable moment. It's the kind of place you're happy to discover and recommend without hesitation. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time with a magnificent view of Saint Paul de Vence. The menu is 100% homemade and the trout is delicious. The owner is very warm and welcoming. It's an excellent place, we highly recommend it.

Once the initial apprehension of exiting onto a highway and the descent had passed, we were greeted with wonder by a peaceful, almost wild garden, and turning our heads, we were treated to a breathtaking view of the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. We sat down at an outdoor table and were welcomed by a very friendly, if somewhat gruff, local man from Nice, with whom we had a wonderful time. The home-style cooking was equally impressive, with generous and delicious portions. A special mention goes to the smoked trout, a house specialty, which is incredible and absolutely worth trying!
