Once the initial apprehension of exiting onto a highway and the descent had passed, we were greeted with wonder by a peaceful, almost wild garden, and turning our heads, we were treated to a breathtaking view of the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
We sat down at an outdoor table and were welcomed by a very friendly, if somewhat gruff, local man from Nice, with whom we had a wonderful time.
The home-style cooking was equally impressive, with generous and delicious portions. A special mention goes to the smoked trout, a house specialty, which is incredible and absolutely worth trying!

Excellent restaurant. Very pleasant setting, enchanting garden, dining room that feels like stepping back in time. The owner is particularly kind and the food is delicious. Generous portions.
Don't listen to the negative reviews; they're completely off base and clearly weren't there for the ambiance.
I highly recommend it.

I'm still enjoying my trout as I post this review. The welcome was truly wonderful, unpretentious yet with all the necessary care. The cuisine is truly top-notch! We savored dishes of exceptional quality and flavor! Honestly, a culinary experience that even made me like herring again. Thank you so much! La Brouettes is definitely a place to add to your Google Maps! Now for dessert!

A delightful evening at La Brouette where we enjoyed Danish specialties. A warm atmosphere in this Provençal-style dining room, greeted by a friendly local from Nice! 😁 As a bonus, a magnificent and very photogenic view of St. Paul from this breathtaking vantage point. The descent to the parking lot is a bit daunting but rather fun if you're not afraid of heights. You can also park at the top if you prefer the stairs. We'll definitely be back!

A wonderful discovery of this restaurant and Danish cuisine. The trout was delicious, but the salmon appetizer and chocolate mousse dessert were also excellent. They offer several set menus, suitable for both small and large appetites. The service was top-notch. I highly recommend it!

I have mixed feelings; I was disappointed because the portions were really small! The starter was supposedly a plate of smoked salmon, but it was just about ten small squares of raw salmon swimming in dill, and not even a small salad to go with it! The smoked trout was very good, but for eight people, just a small plate of roasted potatoes was very meager. I went home hungry! The set menus are very expensive for what you actually get on your plate. The service was too slow, even though the manager was friendly: Hire a waiter!! The atmosphere was pleasant, although despite the heater near the table, I was very cold!
