La Buissonniere sur Calais

Our third visit to this beautiful authentic restaurant hosted by a wonderful family. Many thanks to the owner for making us feeling more than welcome. The food was amazing. Especially the tournedos was the best I have ever experienced. We will definitely come back for another anniversary. Calais is lucky to have a restaurant with top notch quality. Ps: the Chateau du Pape 2016 was absolument fantastique!

A really excellent meal. The food was utterly exceptional. The service was warm, friendly and welcoming. We had 2 children with us aged 6 & 9 and they offered to make them essentially whatever they wanted (chicken breast with chips in a delicious creamy sauce), although my 6yo polished off a good amount of lamb Wellington too, followed by a chocolate sauce covered waffle. Both children, who can be fussy, ate every mouthful, and they were 19euro each for 2 courses which was very good value given the quality of food. We both had the 50 euro set menu and each course was exquisite. I had veal followed by lamb Wellington and the black forest gateaux and my other half had fish soup, scallops, and chocolate brownie with an orange curd sauce.

We have just had an amazing meal at La Buissonnière, an amazing experience in a beautiful very French restaurant, would highly recommend,now we have found it we will certainly be back.

A restaurant just the way we like them: a charming setting, a warm welcome, and impeccable service throughout a meal where the cuisine delighted us both visually and gastronomically. We will definitely be back. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We went to eat at this magnificent restaurant for the first time. The cuisine was exquisite, and the service and atmosphere were top-notch. This establishment deserves to be better known, and I highly recommend it.

We stepped back in time at this restaurant with its 1930s decor. The owner was welcoming and the servers were experienced. As for the food, it was delicious. Everything was perfect. Thank you for this wonderful discovery.
