La Cabane sur Suce-Sur-Erdre

A culinary experience that exceeded my expectations! We had a wonderful meal on Sunday: octopus on a bed of pea purée and a delicious dessert—the chocolate duo. This winter, the very friendly chef offered us discovery cooking evenings. We'll definitely be back. It's truly refreshing to find restaurants that stand out like this, with such a beautiful setting. We came today for a drink by the Erdre River. Unfortunately, the service didn't live up to our expectations. We arrived around 4 p.m. and had to wait a long time before getting menus and then being served. The staff wasn't very welcoming, and we felt like we were bothering them. We understand that we arrived at the end of the lunch service, but that shouldn't affect the quality of service. It's a shame, because we simply came to enjoy a pleasant moment on the terrace with a drink.

We came to have a drink with friends while waiting for our boat rental, which was located just across the street, but unfortunately, we weren't welcomed as we had hoped. We were accompanied by two young dogs. Out of politeness, I introduced myself to the waiter, who seemed to be the manager, to ask if their presence was a problem and if we could sit down for a drink. His response was very cold: "If they don't move, no problem." He said this without a smile, without even looking at us, which immediately gave a bad first impression. We then had to wait quite a while before getting the menu, even though the establishment wasn't full. Our order was taken by a young waitress, whom I have no complaints about given her experience. However, the manager was rather curt on several occasions with several customers who had simply come to have a drink. For example, a couple wanted to sit at a table for four in the shade. He asked them to take a table for two, even though the only available tables were in full sun. Payment was taken when the drinks were served. This doesn't bother me in itself, but the way it was handled sometimes lacked friendliness. I do want to acknowledge the kind gesture of a woman on staff who brought fresh water for our dogs, which I greatly appreciated. We also asked the manager for a pitcher of water. After waiting about ten minutes, he returned with only three glasses of water. In the end, I left quite disappointed with this experience. I feel that the establishment relies too heavily on tourist traffic and doesn't take enough time to welcome and consider each customer. Yet, a warm welcome and a few thoughtful touches only take a few moments and make all the difference in preventing you from being treated like just another customer on an assembly line.

A very warm welcome... and the food is delicious too. The decor is original and very well thought out. A friendly welcome with dishes to discover, excellent cuisine. Congratulations to the new owners. I think their success will continue to grow; they have a great team. Well done for the wonderful time spent there.

We had a wonderful time at La Cabane restaurant in Sucé-sur-Erdre. The setting is magnificent, with a superb view of the Erdre River, ideal for a peaceful meal. The starter and sea bass with beurre blanc sauce were delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money and a place I highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

I booked somewhat randomly for my friend's birthday, and what a lovely surprise! A very pleasant restaurant and waitresses, and the icing on the cake: a chef who came to present his dish – worthy of a top restaurant! Fantastic! We'll gladly return.
