Good atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. Too bad there are no vegetarian dishes on the menu.

On a business trip, in solo mode, I was looking for a comforting place. The Canteen was there, waiting for you. The comments left praising the freshness of the products and their quality are well-founded. I enjoyed it, both tastefully and visually. The food is superb, the walls decorated with taste and care. I felt good there. The welcome was excellent: no annoying reaction for a table occupied by only one person and the young man, in charge of the service, was friendly, welcoming (thanks to him, service really up to par, without overdoing it, simple, natural and damn effective 😉) So, if I have to come back to Montluçon, I would be happy to come back to the Cantine. And this time, I would be ok for a game on this magnificent pinball machine 😁

Amazing welcome. Open, but not the kitchen... we wait until 7:30 p.m. to choose and drink a beer. The starters are good. The dishes are good. Duck, beef, ok fries ok even if they are a little soft. The restaurant is full of people who are obviously regulars and it's very noisy. Everything is also explained. A little expensive perhaps though. Occasionally, I go back.

As a regular customer, I have never been disappointed. Neither by the quality of the food (special mention for the Salers prime rib), nor by the friendliness of the staff, nor by the warm atmosphere of the place. Ideal for reconnecting from time to time with my Auvergne roots which are so dear to me.

Small restaurant at the top with fresh and local products. Fast, impeccable service and very pleasant staff. We had a great time and ate really (very) well. It’s also very filling so make sure you’re hungry 😋 Reservation required on the other hand but as in any good restaurant which offers this type of service.

Nice little restaurant. Small and at the same time spacious and warm. Good food (I tried the duck breast. Not bad at all).

Small, well-hidden restaurant but worth the detour (walk through the small streets as we arrived from Lyon in the afternoon)...December 29, 7:45 p.m....we agree to take us despite the reservations which must be honored Professional but very friendly welcome Excellent roasted Camembert.. duck breast cooking exactly respected Well done ! To recommend, we will come back
