Gourmet restaurant in the historic center. Geared towards a more touristy clientele, the cuisine is refined and the choice of wines to taste by the glass is very wide. It’s a real plus. Having found acquaintances with the neighboring table, then yet another, the somewhat intimate atmosphere at the beginning completely changed and discussions and laughter resounded, other bottles were emptied until the establishment closed. . This also provided the opportunity to discuss with the member of staff who remained to supervise this closure and the group. A nice surprise that also depends a little on you.

The gastronomy of this restaurant has a power that unfolds without restraint; suddenly, we feel the earth slipping away from under our feet, and we leave in a universe with an indecipherable look. We would have liked to stay in flight, and never land, but we will come back for another flight.

Restaurant agréable de part son accueil et son service impeccable et bienveillant. Bon repas, cuisine raffinée et goûteuse. Le sommelier est particulièrement attentif et adorable. Idem pour le serveur. Nous avons apprécié l’ambiance, l’accueil et l’attention tout au long du dîner de cette petite équipe. Juste un petit bémol sur le cadre qui a besoin d’un bon rafraîchissement. Merci pour vos attentions que nous avons apprécié.

Je ne sais même plus quoi écrire... Disons qu’il est toujours plaisant de franchir les portes, de ce bel établissement, qui pour moi n’a plus a faire ses preuves, car chacun de mes passages chez eux est source de voyage et d’émerveillement ! 12/09/2024: Restaurant Le Kuhn was on my "want to go" list, and I also chose it out of convenience since it was close to my hotel. I had come from touring the Black Forest and, upon arriving in Alsace, I immediately noticed the difference in the cuisine... and in the French effusiveness! I really liked chatting about everyday topics with the waiter, everything was very pleasant. For lunch, we ordered a Flammenkueche classique, the classic Alsatian "pizza", a filet de boeuf Rossini (suggestion of the day, which came with pepper sauce when I expected it to be grilled), and a veal (veal) schnitzel with sauce of mushrooms. Both dishes came with fries as I understood, although I missed that accompaniment in my steak, I felt somewhat forgotten in that detail! For dessert, we opted for an iced kougelhopf, which looked incredible (I got carried away by the name and its appearance), but in the end its flavor did not live up to the visual expectation. We accompany everything with a green tea and a coffee. In short, the food was good, with some surprises, especially with the filet de boeuf, but it was a pleasant experience, even more so with the friendly attention of the waiter. A nice ending to a day of exploration!
08/09/2024: The food was very well cooked, and special requests such as a hearty starter as dessert were no problem :-) The menu is available in several languages. The service was attentive and courteous.

Le Tire-bouchon

02/10/2024: On this rainy day in Strasbourg, we decided to eat a choucroute at Le Tire-Bouchon and we did well! The food is very good, the service is friendly and the setting is very pleasant. After the very good sauerkraut, we had a baba kouuelhopf with rum, a delight in every bite! We recommend this winstub without hesitation 👍
02/10/2024: Very warm welcome, delicious food, friendly staff. We went 2 times and both times in the evening there were a lot of people, locals, I think this is a sign of quality. On the first evening, we ordered the same thing as the girl sitting at the next table; she ate cheese and potatoes with such pleasure that we couldn’t resist and took it too. And the next evening, memories of cheese and potatoes and delicious fresh beer did not allow us to go to bed peacefully until we went to this restaurant again. And what a delicate creme brulee cannot be described in words, perfect in texture, sweetness and fat content.
