La Casserole Restaurant sur Strasbourg

Great food, amazing service, great wines.

My 50th birthday was celebrated at this restaurant. Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the menu. The personalized photo and the sprig of lily of the valley were lovely. Thank you! The servers were fantastic. Meanwhile, it's right in the center of Strasbourg, which is a shame.

We were delighted by the refined cuisine, the perfect pairing of wines, and the warm and attentive welcome from the staff. Well done to the whole team.

This restaurant doesn't meet the standards of a fine dining establishment. The space between tables and for service is cramped. There's a lack of privacy and tranquility; we were only two people and were crammed together at the next table, chairs against chairs. The waiters' attire, wearing sneakers, leaves much to be desired! It's the first time I've ever seen waiters in sneakers in a fine dining restaurant! Perhaps they're comfortable, but dirty sneakers for two of them? No way! The presentation and tasting of the amuse-bouches put a smile on our faces and whetted our appetites. Unfortunately, the rest of the course was a complete failure. Despite the waiter's effort and enthusiasm in his glowing presentation of the dish, the exoticism of the menu and ingredients couldn't mask the lack of flavor, subtlety, and culinary discoveries. An acidic undertone ruined everything we enjoyed. The salad with the poached egg in red wine sauce and the risotto, despite its beautiful green hue, was equally tasteless. And I won't even mention the tiny rack of lamb (4x4cm), as hard as a rock, enough to pull a tooth out, accompanied by a lovely, shiny brown sauce that was utterly bland. What a disappointment! It's the first time I've ever eaten such a tasteless sauce—completely flavorless! And of course, all of this was served with a completely ordinary glass of Pinot Gris from Dopff for 23 euros! Unfortunately, the much-anticipated dessert, after this disappointment, also failed to satisfy our palates! The last fine-dining establishment we visited in Strasbourg cost almost 30% less, with wines of a completely different caliber, impeccable service and presentation, a zen atmosphere in a spacious and richly decorated dining room with relaxing background music. The exceptional cuisine was an explosion of flavors that gave us a feeling of fullness and satisfaction. Unfortunately, we left here completely disappointed, even though we finished our meals out of respect for the staff and the work they put into preparing and presenting the dishes.

The food and service were excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Very nice experience, strongly recommend for the food and the service both

I have only one word: sublime! It was my first time there, and I loved it. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the lighting makes it even more stunning. I especially loved the "wall of spirits." The service was top-notch! The welcome sets the tone for the entire place: chic and attentive. Throughout the evening, the staff presented the dishes to us wonderfully. Special mention goes to the sommelier who, despite his young age, was able to guide us and delight us all evening. Speaking of drinks, they're also excellent: varied, with options for every budget, you'll easily find something to complement your meal. And finally, the food: a feast for the eyes and the palate. The chef knows how to work with ingredients to create the perfect combination. The dishes are beautifully presented, and some are literally assembled right before your eyes as the servers bring out the different components. I will gladly return, and above all: thank you!
