We loved the food- everything was delicious, not overly complicated food- a little rich- but absolutely yummy. The wine was superb. The ambience was a little stuffy and dated, but had a lot of character. We would absolutely go again.

There was a bit of a wait between each course. The waiters' presentation was lacking, and someone was talking a lot in a rather shrill, almost annoying voice.

Great place for a diner in Epernay. The menu was really nice and short, enjoyed especially the steak. The service was also of the level to enjoy.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. A true inn, very family-run. The only downside: it was a very hot summer day, so it was a bit stuffy inside – and since there were 26 of us (plus 6 other guests), it was almost unbearably loud in the relatively small room.

18/09/2026: Au Petit Fourneau What a wonderful find in Épernay! A lovely family-run restaurant with an excellent choice of authentic French food. We had a fantastic experience. The owner spoke English very well, was delightful, and took the time to explain the menu in detail and share some of her experiences as a chef, which made the evening feel very personal. The restaurant was busy and clearly very popular, with a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend Au Petit Fourneau. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Épernay!
