Truly authentic places, you won't find anything like it anywhere else.
The little whips are very original, very good, and served quickly.
And the lamb. Confit, cooked for seven hours, was divine; I wanted to go back just for that. A truly beautiful place. Very friendly and truly unique, original staff. I go back every year.

A truly original and charming setting, delightful staff, and divine cuisine! We savored an excellent rillette on parsley butter (yes, really!), an unparalleled shoulder of lamb, warm goat cheese, and a delicious apple tart!
If you're ever in Amboise, this is THE place to go. Go without hesitation and with an empty stomach—besides being delicious, the portions are very generous! 😉

A truly wonderful experience at La Cave aux Fouées in Amboise! The troglodyte setting is magnificent, authentic, and full of charm. The set menu is generous, delicious, and allows you to discover local specialties in a convivial atmosphere. The price of the menu, as well as the wine, is quite reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions, and the exceptional setting. The staff is welcoming, smiling, and very friendly. A place I highly recommend!
