A truly wonderful experience at La Cave aux Fouées in Amboise! ​​The troglodyte setting is magnificent, authentic, and full of charm. The set menu is generous, delicious, and allows you to discover local specialties in a convivial atmosphere. The price of the menu, as well as the wine, is quite reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions, and the exceptional setting. The staff is welcoming, smiling, and very friendly. A place I highly recommend!

An unusual setting in a cave carved into the rock; the coolness of the place is much appreciated during this heatwave. The staff is very friendly. It's a set menu concept (plus a children's menu). The traditional menu is delicious and very generous. Vegetarians beware... The fouées resemble small faluches baked over a wood fire. Homemade cuisine. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the meal. I recommend it.

It is definitely cooler in the cave. Good when the weather is so hot outside. Fresh salad. Spam pate with pita bread. Chicken and apple pie.

Le Lion d'Or

26/08/2026: Lunch with the excellent tasting menu, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert, not forgetting the violet marshmallow that accompanies the coffee. Impeccable and friendly service. I highly recommend it!
23/08/2026: We had a wonderful evening at the Lion d'Or. Pascale was incredibly kind and kept us pleasantly entertained throughout our meal. The two young waiters were also very friendly, although a little more reserved. As for the food, it was delicious. The chef truly delighted us. I highly recommend this restaurant!
