My fiancé and I initially came because we'd heard good things about the quality of the meat at this restaurant.
Earlier in the evening, we were greeted by a very friendly and witty valet. The service was much appreciated.
Then we were seated at a table near the fireplace where the meat smelled divine.
We received excellent service throughout the meal from a lovely, sweet, and helpful young brunette! They offered us small olives as an aperitif, and the toast was delicious throughout the meal.
I opted for the €45 set menu, which was quite generous: a simple burrata with tomato, a drizzle of olive oil, salt, pepper, and fresh basil—simple but effective and very good—and an Angus beef for the main course. I had asked for it medium-rare, and it was rather rare, but still delicious, with a lovely smoky flavor emanating from the meat. But as I mentioned below, it's a shame about the side dish, as I only got a measly little potato… My partner just ordered a main course with the T-bone steak. The meats were excellent, and there's no complaint about the overall quality of the ingredients.
The only downsides, which are why I'm deducting a star, are the chef's behavior. He was constantly monitoring the meat's cooking throughout the meal (complaining to the servers, and many dishes were sent back because they were undercooked or too cold, which bothered him; we could clearly see his annoyance, and he made it very public), and the lack of side dishes and sauces. Paying €90 for a T-bone steak and getting ONLY ONE potato and a small container of a sour cream sauce… it was disappointing for the price… The potato was bland. Why not offer homemade sauces? At least peppercorn sauces, or something similar… And as for the sides, not even a salad or fries, which we found unacceptable. And we noticed that this was the same in all the other packages...
The overall experience was still very good! The quality is there. Just a few minor points to review...

We've known this restaurant for years; the concept has remained the same and the food is excellent. The staff is pleasant. Just avoid arriving three minutes before opening, otherwise you'll have to wait in front of the closed gates. The staff are clearly working hard, but it's understandable that customers arrive three minutes before opening – we were coming from Cannes. We asked to have an aperitif on the terrace, but we were left waiting behind the closed gates and the valet simply drove off. It's sometimes nice to be a little more accommodating to regulars. In any case, the restaurant is good and I recommend everyone try it.

La Chaumière in Nice is well known for its incredibly flavorful meats. The T-bone steak and the Australian ribeye were absolutely delicious a real treat. The waiter was polite, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations. The wine list is perfectly suited to complement the meat dishes, and the apple tart for dessert was simply delightful. Highly recommended!

The meats are high quality; cooking over a wood fire gives them that wonderfully distinctive flavor.
They will be served with wood-fired potatoes and a salad.
We also had pineapple for dessert, which was delicious.

A truly excellent experience at La Chaumière restaurant.
The staff provided impeccable service, attentive and responsive throughout the meal.
This family-run restaurant, a true institution for over 50 years, offers remarkably high-quality meat, cooked over embers and in the fireplace, resulting in incomparable flavors.
Special mention goes to the valet parking service, which is very convenient for stress-free parking.
Excellent meat, homemade desserts, top-quality ingredients: everything was perfect.
I highly recommend trying the Tomahawk or the T-bone steak—they're must-tries. A restaurant I would recommend without hesitation!
