Excellent brasserie, quality cuisine, lovely atmosphere

La Cigale restaurant in Nantes is simply exceptional. It's a place steeped in history, impressing you from the moment you enter with the beauty and richness of its interior decor. Every detail is magnificent; you truly feel transported back in time while enjoying an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The service is also impeccable: the servers are simply pleasant, attentive, and professional. I was taken care of immediately, without any waiting, which is always very much appreciated. As for the food, everything is delicious, without exception. The quality is undeniable; the dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. I went for lunch, and the experience convinced me so much that I returned that same evening, this time with company. And once again, everything was perfect. A must-visit in Nantes that I recommend without hesitation.

A truly wonderful experience at this iconic brasserie. We were a group of 30 and received a warm welcome. A huge thank you to Clémence for her patience and professionalism, as well as to the entire team for the excellent service and their attentiveness throughout the evening. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful setting and impeccable service despite slightly high prices.

Hello! Despite having a reservation, there was an excessively long wait at reception (shortage of staff?) just to be shown to the table where friends were waiting for me… I was forced to wait like the people who hadn't yet been seated… The entrance and reception area is far too narrow, where people entering and leaving cross paths after queuing outside… Atmosphere: The tables are very/too close together… difficult to find a seat – then you're "stuck" and can't move. It's difficult to have a quiet conversation because of their proximity. The setting is still as beautiful and pleasant as ever!

A spectacular place, 100% recommended: and the price is in line with the quality, lower than in Spain.

I had lunch there twice in March. I wasn't expecting such good value for money, given the establishment's reputation. And I thank the management for focusing on friendly, courteous, and excellent service.

It's a beautiful place and we had hot chocolate and pastries, it was delicious.
