A very good restaurant, generous portions with good value for money. The dishes were appetizing and delicious. We ordered the truffade (a potato and cheese dish) with a butcher's cut of the day and a burger with Saint-Nectaire cheese for the adults, and the children's menu included a hamburger and truffade. The charcuterie/cheese board was enormous and excellent. The service was good, provided by young staff. Dining on the terrace with a view of the lake was very relaxing.

A fantastic spot on the shores of Lake Aydat! We had lunch on the terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. Special mention goes to the truffade (a potato and cheese dish) at €10 – a generous and delicious portion, excellent value for money. The service is friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and it's the perfect place to take a break after a family outing. We started our day with a walk at Alexandre and Sylvain's donkey farm, right at the entrance to the Altiparc, and ending with a delicious truffade overlooking the lake was perfect. A great place we'll definitely keep in mind for our next trips to Aydat.

All three courses were delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed them. And they were enough—no room for dessert afterward. The view of Lake Aydat from the terrace is fantastic. We had a wonderful time.

A wonderful discovery! The welcome is warm, the staff are friendly and attentive. The dishes are simple, generous, and well-prepared, using quality ingredients and delicious flavors. The atmosphere is convivial, and you immediately feel at ease. This is the kind of place you love to return to, whether for a meal with family, friends, or after a stroll around the lake. Excellent value for money and top-notch service. I highly recommend it!

16/07/2026: Visited as part of our GR30 trek holiday. Operated by a husband and wife couple, very friendly and knowledgeable - he shared a couple of good tips to improve our route the next day. Room was a family room for 4, a bit tight with a double bed and bunk bed inside but clean. Shower amenities very basic, could be improved. We dined there, had the truffade, which we loved. Clafouti for dessert, nothing to write home about - maybe try something else. Location is ok, nothing special really. Located 100m away from the lac de la Cassière - lovely on paper but it is a private lake and the locals will call the gendarmes if they spot you swimming in it… and finding a public spot by the lake was quite an undertaking. A nice stay overall. The only negative: they open at 5pm, but we got there much earlier than that. It was a scorching day and we would have loved to be offered at least a glass of cold water or a cold drink from the bar. We were told we could fill our bottles at the back from a hose though… small detail but on the day it felt like a miss.
10/07/2026: Excellent stop on the GR trail. After a good day's hike, we received a very warm welcome. The room was perfectly clean and tastefully decorated. The bedding was high quality. The meal was excellent. The breakfast buffet was prepared with great care. Perfect.
