We came here spontaneously and were initially skeptical, as the "restaurant on the square" is usually a tourist trap. But we were pleasantly surprised. Great service, very good food (salad and pork knuckle), and a truly fantastic atmosphere. We loved it ❤️

This is the restaurant you absolutely must try if you're staying in Strasbourg! Local cuisine, delicious dishes, a smiling, welcoming staff who, importantly, take excellent care of their customers! I go back every time I'm in Strasbourg and I'm never disappointed. Thank you, La Corde, and please don't change a thing.

I've eaten here several times, with my partner, with family, and with friends. We've always been greeted with enthusiasm and a smile. The food is simply excellent, and the service, in addition to being efficient, is incredibly friendly. The experience is enhanced by a magnificent setting; it's not only the most beautiful square in Strasbourg, but also the one where you eat the best and where you always feel welcome.

I've eaten at La Corde à Linge several times, having lived in Strasbourg and returning from time to time. The service is efficient, the food is excellent, and the terrace is well located. In short, I recommend it!

We received a very friendly welcome and excellent service from the staff, the food is absolutely superb, and the central waterfront location completes the experience perfectly. Highly recommended! :)

Eight friends in Strasbourg on a Sunday at lunchtime, hunger was starting to gnaw at us, but there wasn't a single restaurant in sight that appealed to the hungry group. Tempers were flaring at the thought of wandering around for an hour in search of THE perfect place. Luckily, luck was on our side, and it had a name: La Corde à Linge (The Clothesline). Excellent value for money, very good service, lovely setting. Go for it!

28/03/2026: Nice hotel overall, friendly and smiling staff. However, there were hairs in the bathroom. Otherwise, excellent.
28/03/2026: The hotel has a really lovely spa area. The reception staff were also very friendly. The room was quite good. Only the breakfast could be improved. It doesn't really feel like a 4-star hotel 🙃 But we would still gladly come back :)

11/04/2026: What a discovery! If I could, I would have given it an unlimited number of stars. Food 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 But above all, the icing on the cake: absolutely fantastic waitresses! As authentic as the place itself. Waitresses 100/10!!!!
08/04/2026: Special, local atmosphere. Very small and cozy dining room. Almost impossible without a reservation. Warm service and very delicious local food.
