Magnificent setting, very warm welcome, a beautiful Alsace table, magnificent wood-fired tartes flambée made directly before our eyes in the oven in the room. Perfect, I will come back!

Message to GR 53 hikers crossing the Vosges. Please note, this hotel is not at all located on the GR 53, contrary to what the manager says. This means that the next day when you continue your hike you will have to do 4 km more because the GR 53 is in the opposite direction, that is to say on the other side of the valley. The ideal is to find a place for the night located in the center of NIEDERBRON where the GR 53 leaves

We were 6 adults, 2 children and 2 babies, endless waiting time to be served… and no smile/sympathy from the staff, forgetting a dish It’s a shame, because the food is good but the waiting time is unacceptable for this type of establishment which offers simple dishes! We won't come back

An ideal location, surrounded by nature and quiet. The setting is very pleasant and very friendly. The service is very attentive to customers and very responsive. The cuisine offers traditional Alsatian dishes and tartes flambées which are excellent and worth the detour! We also spent one night there in a room that had been renovated. Breakfast was also very good and very good value for money. We highly recommend this restaurant!

08/07/2024: Authentic setting, good food and friendly service. Don't miss the daily specials (Tuesday and Thursday). PS: misplaced Google map pin, the restaurant is indeed 100m further down, on the bend in the center of the village.
07/04/2024: The first thing to note is that Le Restaurant Jaegerthal and Fischer Jean Francois are the same! Even if there isn't much going on, don't be put off! The restaurant is on the first floor. I can't understand all the bad reviews. We didn't wait forever, nor were the fries oily. Trout was tasty, venison was tasty, a bit tough, but good. Fries delicious. And incredibly inexpensive! Service like in old times: friendly, honest, old school. No comparison to the would-be fine restaurants around here.
