La Fine Heure sur Dijon

A very warm welcome. Excellent food. Excellent service. We felt right at home and wanted to come back – what could be better?

We had a wonderful time as a family of four. The starter wasn't to my liking, but the staff kindly changed it. The food was excellent, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff helpful. A great find, we'll be back! Thank you! ☺️

A slightly chilly arrival, the dining room practically empty on a Saturday lunchtime, admittedly after the holidays… Seated comfortably near the bar and right in front of the wine cellar, we perused the menu and waited for our order to be taken—about 20 minutes, while four staff members chatted at the till and there were only five other customers in the entire restaurant. We ordered our aperitifs and set menus, and three mini gougères arrived a good 8-10 minutes after our aperitifs… The starters were decent but cold, especially the soft-boiled eggs, which were also very salty considering the sauce made with mushrooms and already salty goat cheese. They should have been less heavy-handed with the salt shaker. The pâté en croûte looked excellent. Main courses: the pulled pork was very good and piping hot! Hooray! The poultry was not bad, but lukewarm, which was a shame. All accompanied by a decent Mercurey, but there was a problem with the temperature; the wine was far too cold. Perhaps it was due to the wine's body, but it's not ideal to wait 20-30 minutes for it to warm up, especially since it was served by the glass and we'll never know if it was truly Mercurey—we didn't get to see the bottle…trust is a virtue. The desserts were good, but nothing special. We felt a decline in the quality of service compared to previous visits. They need to maintain this level, as the competition is fierce and success is fleeting. The ingredients are there; they just need to be showcased and not rest on their laurels. In conclusion, pay attention to the temperature of the dining room, the wines, and the dishes! And the timing is crucial from the moment you start; this is what distinguishes a truly excellent restaurant from a mediocre one.

Nice and welcoming place, excellent and wide selection of wines, good food, open also on Sundays, if I return to Dijon I would go back, the gentleman who served us was very charming ;-)

Excellent food, very reasonable prices for the quality offered, nice atmosphere and decor! A minor drawback (because there have to be a few negative points) was the wait when ordering. Overall, very good, I recommend this place.

Very good food. Great find. We were seated a little further back and therefore had to wait a bit for the staff to come to our table, but everyone was very kind and pleasant, which is the most important thing (besides the delicious food :)).

An excellent meal in a beautiful establishment to end 2025 and start 2026 off right. A professional kitchen team introduced us to the flavors of the dishes, and the waitresses brought our plates with a smile. Keep up the good work with this desire to please your customers.
