La Fourchette sur Amboise

We found out about this restaurant at the last minute, so we were only able to book an appointment for 9:30 PM. It turned out to be the best restaurant discovery in Amboise. The warmest men. The food was delicious and very original. A French interpretation of different cuisines. A homely atmosphere. We absolutely loved it, both the main menu and dessert. Thank you!

We shared three main dishes, a local bottle of wine and dessert and everything was excellent. Good vibes and friendly staff that also spoke English and really went the extra mile to make us have a great evening :) Our highlight in Loire! To book we just dropped by earlier on the same day and our dog was also allowed inside.

We can't remember ever being in a better restaurant. The setting is exactly what you imagine a truly authentic French bistro to be—the chalkboard on the wall, an incredibly warm atmosphere, no snobbery, just genuine soul. And now, a compliment from one chef to another: it's exactly like that scene in the movie "Burnt," when the cook calmly replies, "I know," when told his dish is fantastic. I KNOW you know how amazing your cooking is! But between colleagues, I still had to tip my hat to you. On your beef kefta, I might have had a little more fun with mint, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper... 😉 But your ponzu-style marinated pork tenderloin? Absolutely KILLER, it was a total knockout! Pure expertise, a playful approach to flavors, and complete mastery, from small plates meant for sharing to Loire wines. Thank you for this incredible experience. Huge respect and hats off to the artist!

La Fourchette is definitely worth a visit! A lovely welcome, very friendly and attentive service, in a truly delightful setting. We loved the concept of sharing plates, inspired by cuisines from around the world: generous, original, and beautifully presented dishes. And above all, unbeatable value for money! An address just the way we like them: friendly, delicious, exotic, and unpretentious. A real gem to discover in Amboise! ​​😍

My wife consulted Bob (her Ai) to find a veggie friendly eatery in Amboise. Bob did GOOD, they loved their veggie options, I had the meatballs and chicken stripes which were sensational. Also, the fresh salad was possibly the finest salad that I've ever tasted! And the wine was delightful as well! And... it was awesome value! We dropped by earlier and booked a table, we were lucky, book ASAP!

We are a Spanish family with adult children. I found this place through TripAdvisor and it certainly didn't disappoint. You can tell they cook with passion and love. The price was also very reasonable; we paid €25 per person and ordered six tapas, two glasses of wine (the others drank water), and two delicious desserts. If you go to Amboise, visit La Fourchette! You won't be disappointed.

Highly recommended. The food is incredibly good, everything is freshly prepared, and many dishes are perfectly suited for vegetarians. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. We were thrilled.

A super quiet alleyway. We'd been recommended super touristy places with incredible views but lots of noise. If you appreciate a peaceful dinner, this is the best option. The food was fantastic; you can tell the dishes have been crafted with care. A true hidden gem.

Incredibly delicious food! It's best to reserve in advance because there is rarely a table available, and I understand very well why!!
