La Gargouille sur Briancon

We had an amazing time at this restaurant this summer and it was completely unexpected. The focaccia with cooked and stewed vegetables on top was divinely good while the other dish, the lamb chops, were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service and the small terrace were great! Thank you very much for this moment!

Very nice discovery for this restaurant! We did not reserve and the manager did his best to make a place for us (7 people). The waitress was very kind, we really appreciated it! The dishes were plentiful and delicious with local products. All this installed on a very pleasant terrace! In short, this restaurant was unanimous :)

We had lunch on September 1st. I took oriental salad, lamb skewers, beef skewer, cooked on the grill, trout. All for 107 euros. All abundant and garnished dishes. Genuine, organic products. We will definitely return if we pass by Briancon

I put a 4 instead of a 2 that a tourist could have given, the staff was a little lost but friendly despite the fact that I complained... But too much waiting or forgetting ... 30 minutes just to have our order taken, and 30 minutes more just to have the aperitif... We are a little to blame, we reserved for 12:30 p.m. and called them to warn them of a slight delay ( Bus was 40 minutes late.). So arrived at 12:50 p.m. and left around 2:15 p.m.... Finally, with the heat, my head was spinning because no bread was put in, etc. when we arrived... After complaining unfortunately, our dishes quickly came together but despite an order of beer to accompany them we finished our dishes without the latter... In addition on all meat offered... Extremely surprised and disappointed at the lack of beef... Especially for a proposal of grilling over a fire... Lamb or pork grilled over a wood fire cool for fans but for those who hate these meats ... And if not whole trout (if I remember)... A menu made available to everyone on the internet would be appreciated, we would have had access to the latter we would not have come... We are seasonal workers so we understand the worry of being overwhelmed, it is never the fault of the staff but that of the managers of the establishment who make people work for the position of two... So the extra stars go to them... However, we enjoyed ourselves with the little that we liked... Good luck to the two waitresses....

A restaurant to absolutely visit if you are in the area. The cuisine is of high quality with organic and local products. A special mention for the meat grilled over a wood fire which is a real treat. The service is attentive. We had a great evening, thank you!
