La Gargouille sur Briancon

An excellent restaurant in Briançon! The setting is warm and inviting, with a beautiful fireplace that adds a lot of charm. The ingredients are fresh, local, and beautifully presented. The wood-fired grilled meats are delicious, the portions are generous, and the desserts are also worth trying. The service is welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere is friendly. You can tell that quality ingredients and homemade dishes are a priority. Be sure to make a reservation, as the restaurant is often very popular. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful experience.

A highly recommended spot! Super friendly service, delicious food with a unique menu. 100% organic and local, with original and seasonal dishes. Meats grilled over embers right before your eyes. A chef who loves his craft.

A restaurant with a great atmosphere and a charismatic chef. The trout was very good, but the steak was overdone. The only downside was the service. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, so the wait was quite long, which made the experience a bit frustrating.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, which we love returning to by the gargoyle. The grilled meats (we had the local lamb) and side dishes were perfectly prepared. The desserts (apricot tatin) were excellent. The service was very pleasant.

The friendliest restaurant in Briançon, with its generous and heartfelt dishes, a touch "rogue" reflecting the father and son who run the establishment with smiles and kindness. The doughnuts served as a starter are delicious, and the meats cooked over the fireplace are of excellent quality. Make a reservation outside and enjoy the comings and goings at the foot of the gargoyle!

Absolutely fabulous family-run restaurant. We popped in without reservations and initially we were told there wasn’t a free table, which was fine. As we were walking away we were called back and seated next to the fireplace, so we were able to watch all the grilled dished prepared. I had the duck breast and it was fabulous. We liked it so much we came back for lunch a few days later. I highly recommend this restaurant for the great food and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
