Hi, I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend and honestly, we went at lunchtime so the waitresses were very friendly. It really needs to stay like that; it has a little Parisian touch that adds to its charm. It's wonderful, thank you so much for welcoming us! ❤️💯

Bouillon is based on the principle of simple and inexpensive meals. The menu is quite varied, the dishes are well-presented without being excessive. The service is efficient, quick, and polite. The dining room is a bit noisy, but given the number of diners served, it's perfectly reasonable.

We had a lovely time on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, as a couple. We received a warm welcome, the service was attentive, and the food was delicious and plentiful. We highly recommend it.

Excellent food. I dunno what magic they do with their fries. The pepper sauce has a nice caramelised onion to it. And the steak was perfect. Table red wine was also unexpectedly pleasant!

Admittedly, it's the only real restaurant in the area. But that can't excuse everything.
It's presented as a bouillon, but it's actually more of a brasserie using the bouillon label to justify a limited menu (and why not?).
However, the service should be impeccable in such cases, and it clearly isn't: slow, inefficient (we had to ask four times for our beer, keep asking for coffees even as the place emptied), and even amateurish (making me repeat my order only to get the dish wrong in the end, really?).
The kitchen does a decent job, but you leave with the feeling that you've had to pander to the establishment, which I think is clearly relying on the lack of serious competition. So, opt for a real bouillon or a real brasserie instead of this in-between place, which only has its beautiful dining room and historic location going for it. The owner shouldn't be surprised if customers prefer the numerous fast-food outlets in the area.

An iconic Roubaix establishment that I hadn't visited in a long time. Accompanied by a friend from Paris, we received a very warm welcome, and the service during our meal lived up to our expectations. The dishes were delicious, refined, generous, and very reasonably priced.
We will gladly return!
