La Grange sur Montpellier

We found this gem on our last night in Montpellier and it was an absolute dream. It's run by the sweetes couple who offer delicious and fresh meals, good wine and amazing desserts (seriously, I never had such an epic chocolate mousse, and the chestnut creme is a must have too - no matter how full you are). While we waited for the food we had a lot of fun admiring the eclectic decoration. The plates are also creatively decorated which elevates the dish - not that it's needed, because everything is just very tasty and feels like home.❤️

Beyond its atmosphere, rich in history and fascinating anecdotes shared by the host, you'll discover high-quality, flavorful, and carefully prepared cuisine. Jacques and his cook welcome you with genuine kindness and attentiveness, making the experience even more enjoyable. Between unusual objects, captivating stories, and delicious dishes, everything is in place for a truly unique experience.

The barn offers absolutely delicious and generous cuisine, and hosts who are even more so. The place is original, vibrant, a timeless haven. We shared a truly unique meal and experience. We can only encourage you to enjoy high-quality cuisine and meet such joyfully genuine people.

It's not just a restaurant, it's a life experience! Roya and Jacques welcomed us even after closing time. The restaurant's atmosphere reflects their hospitality: a unique warmth, a spirit of sharing, and delicious homemade food served with a smile and a "haaaaouuuu" 😉

Honestly, I had a fantastic time. The quality was quite exceptional, especially considering the price. Furthermore, the service and, more generally, the atmosphere in the restaurant were impeccable. We were even offered complimentary after-dinner drinks!

There will never be another place like this. An authentic atmosphere, real "home-style" cooking with flavor, an atypical and very welcoming owner. Take the time to get up and look at all the objects displayed on the shelves and walls.

It's a unique and extraordinary place... just like the hosts who welcome and enchant you the moment you step through the door. It's much more than a restaurant; it's a place of life and history, run by two generous and kind people, the likes of which are so rare. The dishes, from appetizer to dessert, are a delight for the taste buds... For all connoisseurs of good food, ambiance, and feminine artistry, there's a before and an after. Have a wonderful evening.
