A must-visit. The quality/quantity/price ratio is unbeatable. The atmosphere is warm and very friendly, making you feel like you're being invited to the home of a stranger who knows how to host. I highly recommend it.

I found the sirloin tasty in itself, but it was a shame that a whole mountain of sauce was dumped on it; because of this, the taste of the sirloin was hardly noticeable anymore (a tip: put the sauce in a small bowl). Otherwise, the portions were large; nothing bad about it. The owner was friendly, but the atmosphere here was a bit lacking, at least outside. We sat on ordinary garden chairs, which were quite cheap; it doesn't cost much to have decent chairs. Otherwise, it was worth it. I hope in the future that this changes and becomes a nicer experience.

One of the best discoveries of our trip to Dijon: A small restaurant where the owner, a remarkably generous character, serves excellent and incredibly generous portions! It's best to come really hungry… The courtyard where we ate is charming, cool, and peaceful. We loved our food, and the table arrangement led us to chat with other friendly diners. We left satisfied and delighted with this unforgettable experience!… All for less than the price of a terrible fast-food joint.

An "atypical" place. Simple and hearty cuisine. The ribeye steak with Époisses cheese might seem unusual at first, but it was a delightful discovery. The owner, chef, and waiter may appear reserved at first, but a quick conversation reveals a genuinely kind and down-to-earth person. A word to the naysayers: if you're looking for four-star service and standardized cuisine, feel free to look elsewhere. For us, this will be our go-to spot for our next trips to Dijon.

We ordered an entrecôte with a local cheese sauce. I wasn't blown away by it. Friendly service from the chef/waiter who handled both duties. If you are a cheese lover, it is highly recommended; otherwise, I would choose something else. The interior is unique. It is a very small place, and the cleanliness could certainly be better.

If you are looking for a tourist menu with pizzas and fries, you are out of luck. However, if you are a fan of specialty cheeses, particularly those incorporated into sauces and gratins, definitely go for it! The chef, who simultaneously serves, takes the bill, does the dishes, and makes the wine suggestions, deserves all the praise!

An unforgettable experience! Worth the trip. The food is plentiful and high-quality. The service, the cooking, and everything else is in the hands of the owner, who, I don't know how, manages to do everything perfectly. The atmosphere is as touristy as you can imagine: a small square and a mini-restaurant. The kindness and the sweet treats at the end are not to be missed. Reasonable prices. If you're a "cool" person, stay away!

Felt very authentic! We were the only English speakers in the restaurant. The potato gratin was fantastic and the portions extremely generous. Paired with beautiful local wine at prices I could only dream of in England. Definite highlight of our trip around Europe.

05/06/2026: Septime's new half-portions are a brilliant idea! It allows you to discover more dishes from the menu without breaking the bank, or to have more room for a delicious dessert ;) The portions are well-proportioned, the quality remains consistently high, and the experience becomes even more accessible.
17/05/2026: The meal was very good and the service perfect. The only downside was that it was far too noisy; we couldn't hear ourselves speak, even though there were two of us, which was very unpleasant. We were in the small room, which may have been poorly soundproofed. There was music playing, and two tables next to us were very noisy and inconsiderate. We cut our evening short, and the table of two next to us did the same. I think it's a shame the staff didn't try to quiet them down...when people repeatedly shout "Happy Birthday" at the top of their lungs, it's really unpleasant and doesn't give a good impression of your restaurant.

28/06/2026: Inspite of being right next to the notre dame, this small restaurant was filled with locals. The menu is small, but to the point, everything comes out fast and is done well. We enjoyed the dish of the day and the beef as well as the salad with the gost cheese. The prices are really cheap too! Well worth it.
