La Guinguette sur Dijon

"A friendly, lively restaurant" is exactly what we experienced. Simple, delicious, and extremely generous portions (doggy bags recommended). The slightly chaotic atmosphere was something we really enjoyed. The chef, who single-handedly manages both the kitchen and the service, definitely deserves 5 stars. Bravo!

A small courtyard, set back from the street, invites tranquility and immersion in a simplicity that commands admiration for the generosity of its cuisine. Some dishes are adapted to suit different cheese pairings; everything is guaranteed homemade! The value for money is unbeatable, reflecting the chef's joy in sharing and his culinary passion. Highly recommended!

Generous and excellent dishes!!!!

A small establishment tucked away in a courtyard, a little surprising at first, but far from the hustle and bustle of Dijon's city center and quite unique. The menus, written in French in a small notebook, are simple and authentic! Reservations are highly recommended! That's what we did. We went on a Sunday evening in August, risking missing out on the chef's very generous portions! He's been running the place single-handedly for 20 years! Only Italians were there that evening. The chef told us the restaurant attracts far more foreigners than French customers; it's full every night! We ordered an Époisses omelet and an entrecôte with Époisses sauce, both accompanied by generous portions of fries and salad. The salad plates and gratins are also very generous! We stuffed ourselves silly, thank you to the chef and congratulations! I hope you've been able to resolve the issue of calls from non-French numbers being displayed as blocked!

A small, unique restaurant where I received a very warm welcome despite the late hour from a super friendly owner who is both in the kitchen and serving. The dishes are generous and delicious, with very reasonable prices. Thank you, Chef, for this lovely experience; I'll be back!

A must-visit. The quality/quantity/price ratio is unbeatable. The atmosphere is warm and very friendly, making you feel like you're being invited to the home of a stranger who knows how to host. I highly recommend it.

One of the best discoveries of our trip to Dijon: A small restaurant where the owner, a remarkably generous character, serves excellent and incredibly generous portions! It's best to come really hungry… The courtyard where we ate is charming, cool, and peaceful. We loved our food, and the table arrangement led us to chat with other friendly diners. We left satisfied and delighted with this unforgettable experience!… All for less than the price of a terrible fast-food joint.

I found the sirloin tasty in itself, but it was a shame that a whole mountain of sauce was dumped on it; because of this, the taste of the sirloin was hardly noticeable anymore (a tip: put the sauce in a small bowl). Otherwise, the portions were large; nothing bad about it. The owner was friendly, but the atmosphere here was a bit lacking, at least outside. We sat on ordinary garden chairs, which were quite cheap; it doesn't cost much to have decent chairs. Otherwise, it was worth it. I hope in the future that this changes and becomes a nicer experience.
