La Main a la Pate sur Castellane

A fantastic restaurant with excellent food and top-notch service. Our first time in Castellane for a holiday, and we'll definitely be back if the opportunity arises. For dessert, we had the speculoos tiramisu, which is nothing like the Italian version, but it was exceptional... absolutely delicious! Thank you!

Hello, we arrived at the restaurant quite by chance on a charming little street in the small village of Castellane. We stumbled upon a small restaurant where we had made a reservation for a table for two at a specific time. The time arrived, and we arrived at the restaurant. Not having a table, they set us aside. A table became available fifteen minutes later. The waitress was very friendly, as always (and professional). Instead of coming to tell me my table was ready, Enza called out from a distance, very loudly. The restaurant was full, but it was truly wonderful. Everyone turned around to greet us – a fantastic welcome! We were shown to our table. The waiter – and I mean the waiter – served us very, very well. We ate very well, with a smile – the service was perfect. The setting is very pretty, but I find the tables too close together because we could hear each other talking without being able to have a conversation. We couldn't hear ourselves speak. The setting is nice, but extremely noisy. In terms of value for money, be prepared for noise. As for cleanliness, forget it, the toilets are far from clean...

Gnocchi excellent good cute setting

I'd gladly come again. Even though all the tables were occupied, the service was friendly and quick, and special requests were handled without any problems. The lovely lady who served me deserves special mention. Later on, more guests arrived and were able to take their tables after a short wait. I had linguine with prawns and a green salad as a starter. I was very satisfied. They do a great job.

An excellent place we discovered by chance during our walks. I recommend the linguine with spicy prawns, the roasted camembert with figs, the beef cheek... The portions are generous and well-presented!

Very nice restaurant. The pork knuckle was excellent, as was the speculoos tiramisu. I highly recommend it. The only slight drawback was that we didn't see a children's menu.

I come back every year after my mountain holidays, the pizzas are always a real treat.
