Accueil très sympathique dans ce restaurant, un des seuls ouvert le dimanche à Roanne ! Service rapide. La serveuse n'arrête pas et est aux petits soins. Notre choix s'est arrêté sur la salade montagnarde avec frites maison et gratin dauphinois. Plat simple et frais, pas de Chi Chi ! Ambiance savoyarde à ne pas manquer si vous passez à Roanne.

French first then in English It's been 8 years since I ate there because we live on the other side of the world. Food: we had the raclette and so I would only judge on this dish. Still as hearty. Quality charcuterie. The cheese was a little too young, that's the only negative point for me. However, for 23 euros per person, they have to earn their living somewhere. So value for money it’s worth a 4.9/5 Considering the overall rating (4.5), I find that it is rated harshly. So 5 will be my rating. Service and atmosphere: mountain decor with the addition of local specialties and the chef's Burger. Service provided by the boss. It’s real French service that we love. Nothing to do with Parisian restaurants where they pull out a 3 meter long head. It's worth 6/5. I'm originally from Roanne. It is one of the restaurant in Roanne where you can go without checking the carte (menu). I haven't been there since 8 years as I haven't been disappointed still perfect Service and very good raclette. That's the real French hospitality. They deserve 5 on 5

If you have been cycling across France, do not miss this place! The waitress was kind and welcoming- the chef not so much lol. But the kir, raclette and incredible desserts will be what we remember! Thank you La Marmotte for a wonderfully warming evening.

An exotic Savoyard atmosphere, fondue, salad, very hearty, friendly atmosphere, it is better to book, for pure mountain air I highly recommend.
