Increíble experience. Food view service plus the staff love their work. If you want to go big in Provenance. This is worth it. So different from overly serious US restaurants. This was good and fun.

A great experience was this meal at Mother Germaine’s restaurant. Unexpected combinations from starter to dessert. We initially feared a service that was a little too friendly, but in the end a young and very friendly team who managed to overcome this somewhat too select aspect. We will come back with friends. A great discovery. Congratulations to the team and the chef whom we did not have the pleasure of greeting to congratulate him.

This dinner was a fantastic experience!
An absolute treat for the eyes and taste buds.
Well done and congratulations to the chef!
A big thank you to the whole team, young, dynamic, attentive and very professional, who magnifies the cuisine and the place.
PS: We want them to try Adrien Soro’s new products, far from the “coquillettes-cordon bleu” of toddlers… ;)

Food is very good. Wine list is extensive but pretty overpriced. Sommelier eager to help but lacked knowledge of the list, beyond a few local choices. Wine pricing and quality of service are critical for a wine region restaurant. Also, the somm served wine in a very incorrect glass.

Poetry on the plates, beautiful presentations and original and balanced flavors. Sarrians bread is delicious, especially with sunny olive oil. Small downside on the quantities on the plates which are a little tight. In any case, the setting is perfect, refined, modern and neat, the view is superb but be careful behind the bay windows, it can be very hot there if the sun is out.

Our large group tremendously enjoyed this meal. Our group of 8 had a room all to ourselves with a view out the back window. There were 4-5 servers for our table. We had mentioned a person with celiac at our table, and unlike other reviewers, we had no issues with the menu.
Originally planning a quick lunch with 3 courses, we all veered off to the 5 course meal and strapped ourselves in. Having had a similar gastronomic trip before, we knew it would be hours before we were done (4 to be exact).
The tomato salad at the beginning was no simple fare. Heirloom miniature tomatoes and a complex dressing woke up all the taste buds.
Amuse bouches were interspersed and delightful.
The shrimp tartare was light and refreshing as the entree. Actually my favorite course.
We had John Dory in a light sauce which was firm and less appealing but still very tasty.
A seared piece of local pork belly melted in our mouths as the rendered fat was cooked perfectly - akin to crisping up guanciale for carbornara. Terrific black garlic coulis on the plate.
For dessert, I chose the peach and sorbet combination which was light enough even after all the previous courses. And the chef's sweet's at the end were spectacular. The hazelnut chocolate cube was nice but the tiny prefect globe of marshmallow was irresistible. But the highlight was a white chocolate cube filled with a raspberry and basil coulis that exploded in one's mouth. Mind-blowing.
Service never stopped being on point. Terrific sommelier with great local Chateauneuf-du-Pape options. It never stopped being fun.

Very good restaurant, top service, small downside on the decor because even if the important thing is on the plate and the view is very beautiful the rest is a little too sober (be careful this is only my opinion) and big downside on the payment "American style" with a tip calculated as a percentage of the bill...so indeed we have the choice at the start on the device but for those who don't know the system: big surprise. Remember that Americans largely pay their employees this way, this is not the case in France.
Otherwise we ate very well and special mention to the sommelier who delighted us 👍

Les mots me manquent pour décrire avec justesse ce dîner mémorable, sans doute l’un des 5 ou 6 meilleurs souvenirs de ma (longue et internationale) carrière de gastronome amateur… mais éclairé et exigeant ! En dépit de (ou grâce à ??) quelques avertissements préalables un peu négatifs par des personnes locales de Chateauneuf du Pape (du genre « méfiez vous, le Chef et son équipe sont partis récemment, vous risquez d’être déçus, il parait que ç’est beaucoup moins bien… etc. », notre expérience (et ce n’est pas nécessairement évident pour une tablée de 11 personnes comme la nôtre) a été merveilleuse du début à la fin. Tout a été quasiment parfait : l’accueil, le service (une attention au détail de chaque instant, par exemple aucun convive n’ayant vu son verre vide plus de quelques secondes), la présentation, les saveurs, les textures, la créativité innovante de la cuisine, le rythme entre les plats, le décor, l’ambiance. Le clou du dîner a sans aucun doute été pour moi et pour bon nombre d’entre nous cet extraordinaire dessert « entre la Provence et les iles, autour des agrumes du pays et de nos herbes emblématiques » ! Une adresse à ne pas manquer si vous êtes dans les environs et que vous aimez (très, très) bien manger. MERCI et BRAVO à toute l’équipe de la Mère Germaine.
