A beautifully situated restaurant in the port of Villefranche. The tables are right on the street, which is a matter of taste. Alternatively, you can sit inside. Unfortunately, the ceviche was far too acidic, and the paella, which resembled risotto, was cooked too al dente. Prices are very high. If you eat here, don't worry about the cost. The service is friendly but hectic.

We had a very pleasant time on June 13, 2026, celebrating a birthday at this restaurant with its exceptional view.
The food and service were highly professional, which we particularly appreciated.

Another fantastic experience for lunch today
The service was excellent
First class restaurant but the waiters and maître d made you feel comfortable and welcome
Also relaxed atmosphere and want you to enjoy your experience
The food was excellent as always
The menu Marche is excellent value and quality
Fish soup superb main course superb quality freshness and very tasty
A glass of wine was included which was excellent and we ordered a bottle of rose
Chilled to perfection
Attention to customers enjoying there experience
If your in villefranche Le Mere German is a must try

A culinary experience in a unique setting with an attentive and professional team. What a wonderful establishment LA MÈRE GERMAINE is! A thought for the Lyonnaise mothers who were at the heart of gastronomy. Generosity is evident in the delicious dishes, specialties in which fresh fish is showcased by a Chef whom we warmly thank for his talent. From the appetizer to the dessert, including the bouillabaisse and the set menus, our culinary delights are rewarded. Thank you to the front-of-house staff and the manager who, with great care, attends to guests with kindness and genuine interest.
