A very good restaurant in the center of Figeac. The staff are friendly and kind, which is a pleasure, and the food is top-notch.
Their couscous, invented and revisited by the chef, is absolutely divine—original and very flavorful.
The duck breast was also excellent, but with the truffade (a potato and cheese dish) in hot weather, it's a bit heavy to digest. They just need to consider a different side dish, and it would be perfect, perhaps even worthy of six stars.

Authentic home-style brasserie cuisine, a wide selection of quality dishes that delighted us. Excellent value for money. One of the best in Figeac, far superior to many of the restaurants that line Rue de Clermont!
It's a shame the owner isn't the friendliest, but she's a great salesperson and so professional!
We'll definitely be back next time we're in Figeac.

A very good experience at La Monnaie restaurant, during my last meal as a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago 😊 The only slight drawback was that the jazz band playing that evening was much too loud to accompany a meal. We couldn't hear ourselves speak.

We had a reservation, yet we waited over half an hour for a table inside. We had to ask three times for a bottle of water. Between the starter and the main course, we waited 45 minutes, and that was only because we asked if they had forgotten about us. My dish had clearly been overcooked and swimming in oil. What a disappointment after such a long wait! My colleagues were happy with their starters and main courses.

A fantastic restaurant. The owners are incredibly kind. The owner is in the kitchen. An exceptional chef. His wife is a true wine expert with a wine list featuring amazing independent winemakers from the South of France. There were three of us, and we wanted to try everything; the chef's presentation was so mouthwatering. The menu cost nearly €50 per person, but it included two aperitifs, two excellent bottles of wine, a starter, main course, and dessert.
I highly recommend it.
