An address to remember. In a pleasant setting, with a discreet yet warm welcome, we enjoyed delicious local cuisine of a very high standard at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend it; these young people deserve to succeed.

We came for dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was nearly empty, hence the rather gloomy atmosphere. The welcome and service were very timid. The dishes were good and refined.

For a birthday meal with about twenty people, the welcome was fantastic, and the aperitif was served on the terrace. For the meal, the tables were decorated and arranged to our liking, the service was superb, and the food was excellent. I can't wait to go back. Thank you! Don't change a thing.

We received a very warm welcome for a birthday celebration planned months in advance. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the birthday cakes; everything was excellent and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable and friendly, and the cuisine was top-notch. Thank you for making this a truly wonderful surprise.

Auberge Le Cantou

23/06/2026: Hotel booked for my first leg of the GR 30 hike. Lovely hotel in the village center, comfortable and welcoming. The room was very clean, and the bedding was excellent for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dinner was eaten in the evening at the restaurant owned by the same person in the village: very good, appetizing food, and the staff was attentive and very welcoming.
11/06/2026: The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very pleasant. The mattress was particularly comfortable, which greatly contributed to the quality of our stay. Breakfast was varied and offered a wide selection. However, the food could be improved. During a multi-day stay with half-board, the lack of variety in the meals quickly became repetitive. Furthermore, the quality of the dishes did not meet our expectations: several items seemed to have been simply reheated rather than freshly prepared.

28/07/2026: A huge thank you to the owner and his team for accommodating us late into the night. We thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in the cabin in the garden, which smelled wonderfully of wood and offered a refreshing escape. Excellent service, friendliness, and efficiency from the professionals at this hostel. Don't hesitate to stay here. A father and son from Le Mans.
25/07/2026: Thank you for your reply. The truffade and blueberry tart are known to be delicious. The only problem is, when I ordered them for an afternoon snack after a hike, I was told over the phone and at the time of ordering that they were out of blueberry tart. And as I was leaving, the waitress was serving generous slices to customers luckier than us.
