I went twice. The first time was for a drink; the service was quick and very professional. The second time we had a meal. €93 for two, including drinks. Very professional service. The food was excellent; the dishes were truly delicious, made with local ingredients. A very chic atmosphere. We were very comfortable, with high-quality furniture. The restrooms were clean, which is very rare for restaurants of this size. I highly recommend it. I regretted not eating there on December 31st. I ate there on January 1st. Go without hesitation! 😊

I remembered it as a beautiful Art Deco brasserie. What a disappointment! It's soulless! How can you buy a place like this and ruin it completely?

We came at the end of the day for two Viennese hot chocolates. The chocolates served had a very peculiar, even questionable, taste. We went to ask what they were made of, and the waitress was very friendly, but we really got the impression we were bothering the bartender. Beyond that, the prices are truly exorbitant, charged an extra €1 because they were served after 6 pm… Of course, there was no gesture of goodwill even though we only ate the whipped cream. Thanks anyway to the waitress who tried to be accommodating.

I really like it. A reliable choice for a brasserie, with very good food and service. However, the smells are truly unpleasant, especially in the restrooms. It's time to do some maintenance on this place! The "knowledge dispenser" has been broken for maybe two years, and the rest is just as bad. It's a real shame; it's not worthy of such a great establishment.

The food is good and the service very pleasant, with a truly warm welcome. However, the prices are clearly above what the food is worth: a €25 burger is hard to justify. Another disappointment: the steak tartare, advertised as "hand-cut" on the menu, turned out to be simply minced. A decent place, but with prices and promises that could be better delivered.

We had lunch at this very well-run establishment and received a warm welcome in a pleasant setting. The food was excellent, and the portions were just right. The service was efficient and provided by friendly staff. Many thanks to the team!

24/07/2025: We found simple, stylish French cuisine in a historic French city among the proliferation of burger and pizza bars. What a delight. Wine menu with a choice to excite the most descerning connoisseur. Highly recommend.
23/07/2025: Restaurant in the former St. Michel prison Impeccable service with lots of humor and smiles. The dishes were truly excellent. We didn't try dessert, but we certainly wanted one!

La Bonne Nouvelle

19/11/2025: One of my favorite bars in Rennes! The cocktails are really good, and great value for money! The coffee is also fantastic, among the best on Place St-Anne. The place is great, with plenty of seating on the terrace and inside too. There's even an upstairs! The staff is lovely, especially the charming brunette who works evenings, always smiling and pleasant. See you soon, BN!!
01/11/2025: A quick getaway to La Bonne Nouvelle in Rennes. Not knowing the area, I had a little sausage and snack with a friend and received a perfect welcome from Tommy and Flo. I'll be back 😊
