Fantastic experience at La Petite Mairie. As a native of Strasbourg, I was there maybe 20 years ago. Call it nostalgia or anything else, but I wanted to go back. It changed. And it’s amazing. A team of young people is there, greeting you nicely, taking care of your needs. We had the perfect table. The food is gorgeous. Not a crazy menu, a condensed classic list of Alsacian (I can’t write Alsatian) specialities. The Cordon Bleu was great, the baba au rhum generous. The tarte flambée could have been in the oven a little longer. Highly recommended.

The food was really good for the price. As a tourist, the waiter who served us was very honest with our questions. I was probably expecting the spaetzle to be pan-fried rather than baked, but whatever, next time I'll ask first. The restaurant is really nice, minimal, intimate, and very clean. The girl who served us was a bit unfriendly from time to time. First, she brought us a basket with three slices of bread for two, and then immediately afterward another basket with only two slices. Overall, not a very pleasant experience.

Spectacular! We went without a reservation and were very well served. The dishes were hearty and typical of Alsatian cuisine. We can say it was the best we tried during our 3 days in Strasbourg. We definitely recommend it.

Beef was overcooked, ordered medium rare but arrived well past well done. The wait staff, bizarrely, offered a free desert. Otherwise, food was good.

09/12/2025: What a wonderful gem restaurant. Friendly, cozy and delicious food. A great experience for those looking to enjoy the Franco-German traditional food with a lovely staff. We felt like home sharing a delicious meal with friends. We recommend reservations. The creme brulee was phenomenal!
08/12/2025: On a friend's recommendation, we came here for lunch as a family (6 adults, a 2.5-year-old, and a 5-month-old baby) while exploring the Alsatian Christmas markets, and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was warm, the decor authentic, the waitress incredibly friendly and helpful, the food delicious, and the portions generous. I highly recommend it!

08/02/2026: That was absolutely fantastic!!! Warm and excellent service at the highest level! The quality of the food is unparalleled – the name says it all: UMAMI from the first bite to the last! The only thing I find baffling is that the restaurant is "only" rated 4.7! Anyone looking for flaws here clearly doesn't frequent Michelin-starred restaurants and simply doesn't appreciate the perfect all-around experience at such fair prices!

The restaurant's decor adds a real charm to the experience. Special mention goes to the non-alcoholic pairings, which are just as refined as the wines on offer. Highly recommended!
