La Petite Plage sur Saint-Tropez

Very nice and well-kept place. Top welcome and they also welcomed our lagotto! Between sand, wood, sofas, soft lights (a bit too much..) 3 of us had dinner. Unfortunately we had to swerve several times when ordering as the dishes and wines offered on the menu were not available and this did not meet our expectations...what we finally ordered among what was left was well made even if priced high despite being aware of the location and the fantastic location in sant tropez. The dining room staff was a little too pressing, not only did they not serve us the dishes we wanted from the menu but they were not available and we did not receive either a simple "sorry" or an offered glass..., we dined from 9.25pm ​​to 10.45pm while the staff was concentrated on tidying up the room and setting the tables for the following day, making us understand that as soon as we and the other 3 tables present had finished they would close early....the bill was high and among other things the wine list was based on wines priced mostly from 300 to 1000 euros with questionable choices among other things... but thank God freedom and support for those who do business. We probably happened upon an evening like this... and my review only describes my first time and my only experience. Wind in the sails of the owners and I hope to be able to surpass this review of mine on another occasion!

Very nice experience in this restaurant ideally located on the old port with sand on the ground and beautiful decor. The dishes were very good (lobster pasta for me) and the giant rum baba for 2 was worth the detour! The service is impeccable and friendly... The wine is a little expensive, it lacks an entry-level wine. I recommend!

a place that is still as pleasant and full of conviviality. Formerly called "L'Escale", it is mainly the decoration which has changed in a more warm and floral way. The fine beach sand on the ground is still there. The food is still good, as is the welcome and attention given by the staff. I recommend this place.

The food was good the service must admit left me doubtful for a possible return to dine in this Restaurant, ordered a bottle of wine they fill up the glasses to the top in order to empty the bottle and try to sell you a second one (not nice at all as white wine warm is not my taste at all!!!) upon paying the bill the waitress before I even pulled out the wallet asking for tips??? A real put off extremely cheap approach.

Saint-Tropez is wat je ervan verwacht. Zeker langs de vochtig en drukkend warme boulevard waar het uitzicht op de mooie binnenhaven goeddeels aan het oog wordt onttrokken door de tussenliggende motorjachten met de afmeting van een gemiddeld appartementencomplex in het hogere segment. Die schuiten liggen er uiteraard niet uit eigen beweging; daar zitten mensen in, al evenzeer uit een zeker segment. En die komen er ook uit, moeten soms wat eten en doen dat in dit soort tenten. €40 voor een voorgerecht; €18 voor Jack Daniels of Johnny Walker black label. De oligarch wil nu eenmaal kostte wat het kost (pun intended) te veel betalen. Struikelen over de jurken van €2000, gevuld met van top tot teen gestylede dames, geflankeerd door mannen met horloges te waarde van een personenauto in de gegoede klasse? Hier zit je goed! Ooit nog eens een champagne van €9000 per fles willen bestellen (met een reële waarde van een nulletje minder)? Ze komen hier in drie smaken. Dit alles gezegd hebbende, kan ik niet anders dan de kwaliteit van het eten, alsmede van het personeel prijzen. Letterlijk en figuurlijk.

The food itself was tasty, with a good variety of options on the menu. The dishes we tried were well-prepared and enjoyable, so no complaints there. However, the service didn’t quite match up to the rest of the experience. The staff was unfortunately quite rude and seemed to lack attention to detail. We had to ask multiple times for certain items, which became frustrating as the night went on. I have to admit, it’s quite a common factor in the south of France. Despite the service issues, the setting and atmosphere make La Petite Plage a fun spot if you’re in the mood for a lively evening. Just keep in mind that it’s more about the vibe than the dining experience itself.
